It REALLY sucks that KH: Coded is only for Japanese release (and it's only for cell phones, at that). At least we get Birth by Sleep, or so they promised...by those bastards have lied to us before. But the fact that it's for PSP is a total deal breaker. Now I'll have to see if I can get it on an emulator, darn it :(
I'm not even going to really go into details, but so far I think two of the best guides and resources about these two games are
here and
here.
The Keyblade is said to hold phenomenal power. One legend says its wielder saved the world, while another says that he wrought chaos and ruin upon it. -from Ansem's Report (KINGDOM HEARTS). That has plagued me for while and I'm really interested to see how some things came to be and how these new characters are tied to Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Roxas.
Taking a quote from the BBS guide:
"...Nomura has also said that Riku's, Sora's and Kairi's names meant Land, Sky and Sea respectfully and that the three Keybladers Terra, Ven and Aqua mean Earth, Wind and Sea respectfully. He has also made it clear that these three meanings will have a large impact on the game."
OMG, how did I totally miss that? I never even made the connection even though I swear that was mentioned somewhere along the line in one of the games. *goes back to reading*
I know the fact that KH: Coded is only for cell phones should probably deter me, but it actually looks kinda cool. The concept of the Coded game really intrigues me. It's supposed to bridge the gap between games and you get to play as the "data" version of Sora from Jiminy's journal without having any of Sora's previous memories.
The main reason I would really love to play it is because we get to see what Riku was doing during the course of the first Kingdom Hearts game XD
This is only reminding me that I have yet to complete Jiminy's Journal from the 1st game and I probably NEVER will. My poor PS2 bit the dust and the people at Sony are a bunch of assholes that need to hurry up and fix it so that we can can play PS2 games on PS3, damn it!
