[She has been following this cat for quite a while... She doesn't really know how to behave with cats, actually, since her father refuses to allow her one (or a dog, or a bird, or a fish, or an iguana, or a deer, or even a butterfly.) She has seen a few strays in the alley but those feral things won't let her near them and both Maman and Papa tell her not to get scratched by them. But Maman and Papa are not here and Christine has already pet a wolf in her time as tiny tot and she is determined to pet this cat, if it would only just stop walking already.]

[Blue knows how to play her charm, sitting on top of walls or just several steps ahead of the little girl to curl her tail up and down and mewl at her before she gets back on her way.

She's made it to the house and ran up the stairs to Lou's room soon enough, pushing the door open with her head to trot inside like she's forgotten she's being followed at all. Lou doesn't seem to notice any of the new presences.]

[An ill-socialized little thing, Christine really doesn't hesitate to follow the cat into someone's home. She was with Blue, it was totally cool, right?]

Sit down, kitty...

[She mutters this in frustration, stalking that cat like a hardcore hunter.]

[Fuck if I know what's going on. Those are the last words he scribbles frantically on his notebook, putting an end to his uninterrupted inspiration of bullshit. He was ready to finally put the pen down and look for his pack of cigarettes -- that's his reward, obviously -- but that idea is obviously cut short by the little girl's voice.]

Shit! [that would be his startled reaction, arms jerking as he turns around to look at the little shape trying to pet his cat. Eyes widen and a frown creases his browns.

Is that a child?]

Who the hell are you? [he stands up and points at her, pen still between his fingers, like he's suddenly handling a very strange and angry badger. Is she one of the people from here? Should he put his mask on?]

[Kitty! Young and confused as she is, Nepeta can't help but think that maybe she's finally found her lusus. Who is...smaller than she expected but that's okay. So she's following this cat, wherever it leads]

[He's smoking by his window. He doesn't really care about whether he gets the smell of smoke in his room; he just wants to look at the movement outside.

The cat trots into his room with a charming mewl, taking up her spot on his desk. Lou is none the wiser.]

[Nepeta blithely follows the cat into the room and decides that since her lusus-who-isn't-really-her-lusus is on the desk, that's where she should be to.

Thus she attempts to leap up and catch the edge of the desk; as is often the case with young kittens (or trolls who think they're kittens), this ends up with her dropping with a thud and a flutter of whatever paperwork she's managed to pull down]

[It had taken a little while, upon her waking up in a strange place, for Asha to venture outside of the room. There had been enough to see inside, for a little while, enough to see from the windows, watching the people walk on the streets outside, but eventually the door beckons to her.

She opens it very slowly, wondering if there might be someone waiting outside to keep her in there, some strange people that she couldn't sense the way she was meant to. But instead, there is only a cat.

She watches it curiously for a moment, had never seen a real life cat before, but after it appears to do nothing more alarming than wash its leg, she leaves the sanctuary of the doorway and approaches it, wondering if it was safe to stroke it like in the books and films she'd seen.]

[That cat is shameless and very sociable, so the first chance it gets is used to walk on over to the girl and rub against her legs, bumping its little head against any available hand it finds. Maybe this one has offerings in the shape of food.]

[She smiles, a very small, contained expression, as the cat bumps its head against her hand.]

Hello, cat.

[She runs her hand over its head and back, a little awkward, not sure if this is quite what she was meant to do. But the fur feels nice under her fingers, so she thinks it might be.]

[The kitty cat only allows that show of affection for too long before it decides it's time to get away, so back to Lou's room it goes. He learned his lesson and locked up the door, though, so it scratches at the wood and meows loudly to be let inside. I'm hungry, you stupid man.]
