I'm so, so sorry. orzorzorz firststeptodawn November 20 2011, 22:59:16 UTC
[Riku isn't quite sure how to feel about this place, about this castle... not since Aqua told him what it would become one day. It explains why he had thought the scent of it so familiar when he had first set foot on the ground, that absolute balance between darkness and light that he had yet to see in any other world...

It is the perfect place for training though, wide grounds and halls and mountains and sometimes a tiny part of him wonders how different things would have been, had they been trained here back home, just like Aqua and Terra and Ven. How different he would have been.

Of course, there is no good in considering these things too much, he thinks as he walks along path towards the trainings grounds - focusing too much on what could have been instead of what is never does.

When he sees Roxas, both Keyblades out and cutting through the air as the other steps through the motions, he halts... just watching; wondering.

While he's never questioned Aqua's decision to train him aloud, Riku still feels uncertain about it; because while Sora had told him that Roxas could be trusted, that he was Sora's Nobody, Castle Oblivion and the members of the Organization he had encountered there are still too fresh of a memory for him to be comfortable, to just put his trust into someone that smells just as vaguely of nothingness as Vexen, Lexaeus and Zexion had (Namine being an exeption to that).

Still from what little encounters they had, he can't help but feel that this distrust, this wariness... wasn't exactly just one-sided from his part.

So there he stands now, watching and wondering if he shouldn't just turn on his heels and leave to avoid another confrontation.]

[ Stopping in mid-motion, he takes a moment to mentally study how he's standing, feeling the slight awkwardness of it before adjusting it so that the movements would flow better. Handling two Keyblades isn't the same as dealing with just one, a certain amount of fluidity needed as he's finding out. Wouldn't want to fumble using them while in real combat, right?

However, after a moment, there's a niggling feeling at the back of his head. As if someone were watching. And turning around, he finds that his instincts aren't so far off.

At first he just stands there, looking at Riku, debating if he should just open a corridor and leave. Their previous encounters haven't been the best after all and the mixed feelings he has about Riku continue to war on, even if half of those feelings aren't his. But, he knows he can't avoid the other forever no matter how much he wants to. They're both students under the same teacher, may even have to spar together if Aqua wants them to. If it ever comes to that, he's not sure he'd be able to restrain himself if he still has the same feelings as he does now.

Somehow they'd have to get along, how is the question right now. ]

Need something?

[ Civility, that's a start, right? ]

[Yeah... fumbling them in real combat would probably would end up kind of problematic.

Riku hesitates before replying, arms crossing over his chest in reflex sort of - for all that he is wary, he doesn't want to fight. Finally he settles for a simple shake of his head, expression somewhere between neutral and a little uncertain.]

I was just watching... unless you mind?

[Yeah... civility. It is start.]

[ His first response would be that he does mind, that the reason he picked now to train by himself is so that there isn't anybody around to watch him.

But something stops him from saying it right away, making him take a few seconds to really think about it when before he would just say what's on his mind. Maybe it's those memories and the feelings that come with them again that's stopping him like the first time he met with Riku face to face, Sora's fond memories with the other boy. Or maybe it's something else.

Maybe he just doesn't feel like fighting the other himself, now. ]

... I don't.

[ Roxas adjusts his hold on both Keyblades. Before he might have hidden his ability to wield two of them but ever since the monster attack, he doesn't see a point to doing that anymore. He needs learn anyway. ]

Just not used to someone watching, I guess.
