Who: Kinomoto Sakura (releaseheart) & Charles Xavier (arethebettermen)
What: Sakura's has reached her breaking point with Promenade.
Where: The beach.
When: Day
Warnings:  Sweetness and a child's tears.

The ocean waves crawl up to the shore, washing up around the bare feet of a little girl who watches the ocean with sad eyes. There's a sob, just as a card -- The Time-- flutters to the ground, another card for the pile that rests beneath her on the sand. Her sobs quickly become louder,  while Sakura draws her face into her hands and lets the warm tears run against her palms.

Kero said magic couldn't fix everything, but what was else was she to do? How else was she to get home?

A month ago, a simple assurance would have worked. Even if this place was frightening, she would go home-- most of all, it would be soon. That's what she had told herself for the past two months, even as monsters and loneliness tried their best to chip away at her resolve. Instead, she had raised her chin and forged on, shutting up her sadness in that little corner of her heart.

But no longer could she stand it.

To have grown up as Sakura did, you would have learned that family is the heart.

Every day there would be breakfast together, a good morning for her mother up above. Lunch boxes would be packed with love and little notes that reminded each other to have a good day. Keeping the cards secret was as much a matter of keeping the magic a secret, as it was ensuring that her father would not have to worry.  Of course, that didn't stop Touya from dedicating his time to stalking (aka, protecting) Sakura. She loved them all-- her mother, father, even her brother. Yukito-san. Syaoran-kun. Tomoyo-chan.

Family was the heart, and here in this city of ocean and dreams, there was no family to be found.

She couldn't help but feel her heart break.
