As much as he wanted to go in, all guns blazing, after witnessing the PORTAL broadcast, so much had changed, including the plans for an assault in the Iron Man suit. While he still wanted to go in alone - even after seeing what Genero was capable of - he needed more information and to see what they could muster up between the newest residents of Promenade. And now that the workshop was here, he had a place to store it and dispense it, somewhere people could repair any gear that they needed to and upload information to the computers so it could be put on the PORTAL and sent out whenever something new came up.
Surveillance. They needed that. Teams who could work on that and people who knew how to fight and handle themselves. Hell maybe even a safe house with some supplies if it came to it. He wasn't fooling himself in terms of those who had brought them here, he didn't think he could get ahead of them completely but if they could start something, try to catch up then maybe...
Even if it was just to shield the people less prepared to deal with any fall out from harm.
So he waited in the workshop, computers set up, ready for anyone who might arrive and share what it was they wanted to share and get to know one another face to face without the worry of someone listening in unexpectedly.
