[ Honestly, it seems like more of the city had collapsed into a bed after the sun rose on that sixth day. Rukia, Ichigo, and Shiro were all asleep in his room, Lior and Ace passed out like logs in Ichigo's father's bedroom ( or what used to be Isshin's bedroom ) and of course Rapunzel across the hall in the Twin's bedroom.

Most of the stragglers had returned to their various homes, and the cleanup from that many people crammed into a small space had been underway for a while. In fact, they were almost done now. Ichigo was in the kitchen, wiping down countertops that had been caught in the stampede of Shiro; the miniature menace, when he heard sounds from down the hall. Knocking twice on Rapunzel's door, he peeks his head in. ]

...Hey. You awake in here?

[Sleep was something everyone needed, it seemed like. The three of them slept for what seemed like forever, curled up together on Ichigo's bed, while their guests slumbered away in their respective rooms... and there were probably still a few people in the downstairs clinic area still, as well. The clinic had never been more full as it had been during that week and subsequent days.

Shiro is actually helping to clean, for once... mostly because he was the one responsible. He had vague memories of it, but the little chocolate lizardy footprints that had dried to the floor really cemented it. So he's mopping.

But he stops when he feels one of the energies in the clinic stir, and awaken... and it felt slightly... panicked? Unlike Ichigo, he had an excellent Reiatsu sense, and he was keenly in tune with those hanging out in HIS territory.] Hm?

[he trails behind Ichigo, peeking in under his arm]

[Rukia...slept. Slept a lot, slept still. She'd barely rested in that long night, and she paid for her overexertion by sleeping for hours after the boys had woken up and started their clean up of the clinic. A tiny little bundle under Ichigo's sheets, barnacled around a spare pillow in lieu of her bedmates.

But the stir of energy and the sound of someone crying across the hall was enough to finally pull her out of her murky dreams of the drone of wings. Slipping out of the bed, she padded over to the other side of the hall where the boys were standing in the doorway, yawning and her hair a fly away mess.]

Rapunzel-san?

[Through her sobs, Rapunzel heard the voices of others, people she ignored. She didn't deserve their concern. Not to mention she was so embarrassed. But then she heard Ruika's voice and finally looked up. Her eyes were full of tears, and at the sight of her they rolled down her cheeks.]

I... I'm sorry. [She spoke in barely a whisper, too ashamed of herself to say anything else. Her hair fell in front of her face and she didn't even bother to push it away. She wanted to hide right now.]

[ Eep! The sweet little girl with really long hair is crying! kjfhdkjfh ONLY OPENED THE DOOR, WHY ARE YOU CRYING?!

Have a deer-in-the-headlights look, Rukia ;; ]

[Why is she crying? Shiro looks stunned. Then he looks at Ichigo. "Why is she crying?!" Then at Rukia with the same questioning look... but also moving himself and Ichigo out of the way so Rukia can go in, if she wants]

[Thank you, Shiro.

Edging between the hollow and the shinigami, Rukia only gives her hair a passing pat down as she goes over to Rapunzel's bedside, sitting down on the edge.]

Rapunzel-san, [A...little awkwardly, she reaches over to put a hand on the girl's arm.] Calm down, there's nothing to apologize for.

[At Rukia's touch, Rapunzel drew back. She didn't deserve this right now. Ruika should hate her right now.]

But I was... and mother said. And I didn't listen. Aren't you angry for leaving when you told me not to? Mother hates me. Everyone... everyone should-- [She stopped herself from saying that everyone hated her. Instead she looked up to the boys at the door, quickly looking away to avoid eye contact.] I'm bothering them.

No! No bother! Um...just...don't know why you're so sad?

[ Sadly, these boys aren't well equipped to deal with tears, and since Rapunzel had been so nice just the day, or two before, Ichigo wasn't really sure what she was apologizing about.

He frowns at the mention of 'mother' though. ]

Yer.... not botherin' us at all! [he exchanges looks with Ichigo. What should they do? Should they leave? It's so confusing... what had even happened to her?] We... uh.... hn.

I'm not angry, nobody's angry with you. Rapunzel-san, a lot of terrible things happened to a lot of people, and Im willing to guess that something happened to you too. You weren't acting like yourself.

Mother was here. And she told me... she wanted me to- [She couldn't even finish her sentence. All she could do was throw her arms around Rukia and cling to her.] Why would she want me to do such awful things?

[ Ichigo glanced once at Shiro, then stepped closer to Rapunzel's bedside. ]

...Are you sure it was really your mother?

[ Because Byakuya had been acting crazy as well. Damn this city, and it's tricks. Using someone's loved ones to mess with their minds was just evil in Ichigo's opinion. ]

[Shiro narrows his eyes. Hadn't Byakuya been talking about seeing loved ones, too? He sits on the unoccupied bed and looks at Rapunzel with curiosity. Maybe even concern.]

Something was making people see things. Are you sure it wasn't that?

[snowwhitesoul]

[Its a mark that Rukia doesn't flinch this time, but just gently pats Rapunzel's shoulder as she huddles against her. Even if she can't see, Rukia is nodding in agreement with the boys.]

Many people confessed to hallucinations. What you saw was very likely not real, Rapunzel-san. It wasn't real, I doubt your mother would want you to do bad things like that.

Not my mother? [She looks down.] Maybe it wasn't. There were things out there that made people have hallucinations? Maybe it was that, but... I still left. You told me to stay and I didn't. I always get in trouble when I leave.
