...But-- [He doesn't get it. Do they not get it, the horrors that could be caused? Roxas should know-- Roxas had seen, and yet he's standing there burning with a desperation and anger that practically radiates off of him, a silent, avenging angel with resolution on his side.]

[If resolution was named Sora. If anything, Sora's desperation shines through all the more. Ventus can feel it, the sadness and the fear and please, don't go away. His eyes sting, hands going up to rub at them furiously. He's not going to cry again. He won't start off another chain reaction.]

Guys... it's not that easy. You all...[He swallows.] You could all get hurt. Someone could die.

I can't live like that, worrying about you guys, who I'll lose just by being there. What could happen just for that- that thing.

[He looks back to the ground, biting his lip. All this time, all these travels, and only now has he really come across what he'd been searching for all along. More than a resolution, but a connection.]

I spent so much time trying to make friends.

I can't lose anyone now. Not for me.

Ven, it goes both ways. It's because we're friends.

[ How long has he had to worry about the blond, endless nights just staying awake when he doesn't know how Ventus is doing? That time they separated from each other, there hasn't been a single moment when he hasn't worried and wondered if he's okay. Knowing that he could be alone just makes it all worse.

This feeling, this single emotion made so strong just because of how close he's gotten to not only Ventus but Sora as well. He... cares when he hadn't really before, not even with his memories from the simulated town, and no doubt it's thanks to these two right here. And though it's overwhelming half the time, he's grateful for being able to feel like a normal person, to be able to feel how these two are so that he kind of knows what they're going through. It's not to a very deep extent because he doesn't have a heart but. Better a little than not at all.

Roxas takes a step towards Ventus, his eyes softening and his voice losing the edge it had taken. ]

We're in this together, aren't we? We said we'd figure things out. [ And I can't do that without you here.

There's an echo of something in his chest as he thinks about the possibility of Ventus being gone. A hollowness that he's never felt before, not even from his time with the Organization because there seems to always be something there. He's never been able to figure it out before, can't figure it out now but. If the blond never comes back, he knows that whatever it is in his chest will be gone to. ]

You're not gonna lose us and. No matter what you say, we're not gonna lose you either.

[ That connection of not just being friends but something much deeper than that, he's not going to sever it, not from Ventus or Sora or anybody. ]

Roxas is right. You don't want to lose anyone, and neither do we. So we won't!

[ Sora steps forwards with Roxas, grasping Ven's hand and then Roxas'. he gives both of them a smile, but settles on Ven, looking at him in earnest. ]

We'll figure everything out, but three heads are better than two. And we need you, Ven.

You're part of us. And we're part of you. That means we're gonna fight by your side, whatever you go through!
