THE CASTLE

[The stone walls are being overgrown with thick vines, the once bright gates now turning tarnished and brittle with age. It seems as if anything within the castle is gone, asleep, or not even existent. Animals, feral creatures, things that shouldn't even be considered real walk amidst the grounds, hungry for stragglers.

Whatever kind of safehaven you were looking for, whatever comfort you hoped to find, there is no solace here. Run.]

[ He had just been passing by the forest when the city went to shit, but instead of scurrying home with his tail tucked between his legs, Fenrir had grinned. Growing larger to help fend off some of the more voracious monsters, the black wolf knew full well that it was likely someone would confuse him for the prowling creatures.

That said, he didn't particularly care. There was a rare sort of game out tonight, and he intended to hunt it. ]

[This, unfortunately, reminds her of home. Of Yomi. So Izanami is rather unaffected by this sudden change, walking by larger monsters and killing some with a spare spell or two. It's not time to bring out the major forms yet, and if it comes to it, she'll rather run and watch than take things on.

Still, she'll be watching Fenrir with curiosity, and a wry smile.]

[ He moves through the thick brush of the gardens, ignoring the way the branches try to grab his fur. She smells much like these creatures, like death and pain, but she isn't them. She speaks, for one. She hasn't attacked him, for another. ]

THE ROAD

[Fissures and cracks are present here, bony skeletal hands reaching out to whoever passes by, snatching them into the cracks. Beyond that lies darkness, and an almost impenetrable one that seems to swallow light whole the further you move along. Be careful, monsters and the unknown take to these parts as if it were their own home. It's not safe to wander outside at this time of night...]

[Well, isn't this just like all the times she's fought the big angels in Vigrid.

Bayonetta is currently waltzing her way down the road, eyes out for any trouble, but not appearing so cautious. After all, she can't afford to dampen her image, now can she?

But beyond that, she's keen and alert. What she wouldn't give for a portal to the Gates of Hell at a time like this, but beggars can't be choosers, and it was about time something interesting happened here. Meeting up with people wasn't her thing, but she supposed if it happened here, she could make an exception or two.]

DAY ONE - Paging Rapunzel, Quorra, or anyone else?

[The sky was howling, screaming. The usual, gentle night of Promenade ripped apart and an unsettling pall took its place. Was this was Shirley's wailing was foretelling? That shadowy form had done this, it was toying with them again! It was mad!

As soon as that broadcast went out, Rukia was out the door. This had happened once. Too many had died then, and she wasn't about to let people she cared about die now. So she would move before the darkness spread, before it had a chance to claim any precious lives. First on the list? The blonde haired girl in the tenth apartment complex.]

[And now Rapunzel was curled up on her bed, hair wrapped around her. It was safe under there, or at least she hoped. Her eyes were shut as she told herself everything was alright, but she was scared. What if she was taking again? What if she woke up a week later with all these scars on her body?

Before she could really scare herself completely, she heard a familiar voice. It made her pop up and head toward the door.]

Rukia! [The second Rapunzel saw her friend, her arms were going around her, clinging to Rukia, scared out of her mind.] What's going on?

THE FORBIDDEN PATHS

[Dark as ever, the Paths look even more unwelcoming and terrifying now. All the guards are asleep, and any possible reason for wanting to go in at a time like this is deterred by what looks like thousands of eyes staring back at you, watching. They never say anything, just stare from all angles. Surrounding you like a showcase.

Oh, but don't let them get to you. After all, what's so dangerous about sets of unblinking eyes staring your way?]

[Sekhmet had just been wandering when everything went to hell.... So the first place she headed to? The paths. She stopped several yards away from the entrance to the Paths, her fiery gaze staring unblinkingly back at the several sets of eyes looking out at her.

Her mouth quirked into a smirk as she grew hungry, her skin blazing with the promise of a good fight...

And that was just what she received. The creatures that swarmed her as she stood staring at the paths never saw what was coming as she fought them off while hardly breaking a sweat.]

[This Trainer stops here, crouching low with three of his Pokemon near him. Triple battle is a go! Zweilous, Larvesta and Serperior keep close by, alert and very much prepared.] No guards.. So he really..

[A buzzing alerts him of one of the creatures nearby, knowing hiding would be no use he quickly stands. The Serperior emits a warning cry, stretching out nearly the ten feet it had from behind Touya while the other two jumped in front.] Taiyou, use Ember! Kurai, Dragon Pulse!

[Spotting another coming at his side, he gestures his Serperior at it.] Hime, Leaf Storm! [With those Pokemon occupied, he's blind to the creature now approaching behind. Care to lend a hand?]

[It doesn't take any effort at all for Agito to tear the monster to shreds - in fact, he doesn't even need to lift a finger. It's simple enough to turn the air around it into a weapon, though the force needed for fatally deep slices leaves him a bit winded.]

Do you want to die, retard? First rule of combat is to always watch your back.

[He seems annoyed - idiots always irritate him - but otherwise unphased.

Akito isn't exactly happy with Agito's insults (Touya is nice, after all), but is so used to them that he can only chide him fondly.] Agito...

THE BEACH

[Wails of sirens can be heard, and what once looked like calm and inviting waters looks like a chilling reminder of an endless sea of blood. The seal life in here is no longer pleasant, just feral and unwilling to try and reason with anything logical. Try as you might, sailing in this kind of environment is highly unlikely, as well as not recommended.]

[This one is taking a casual stroll down the beach, shooting monsters wherever he sees them. He's totally not keeping an eye out for people to make sure no one's dying. He just wants to kill monsters. That's it. Really.]
