What: Lior and Ace gon' fishin. Some of the boys get worried, and go looking for her. Meetings, and cookouts ensue

Well, the day was ending a lot better than it had started out at least. Ichigo had been a little put out with Ace for the vanishing act ( no matter what the pirate said ) but Lior had been fine all day. Plus, it was kind of weird to realize this was the first time all of her 'knights' had been in the same place at the same time

At first Lior didn't think much of Ichigo standing up and walking away from the group. In fact she may not have realized it because she was too busy laughing away and sharing stories with the rest of them, but she couldn't help but notice that something was missing after a few minutes.

So once there was a break in the conversation where she could slip away, she headed on over to where Ichigo was settled now, leaning down with her hands on her knees so they were level with each other once she stood beside him,

"What's wrong?" she asked after a long pause, tilting her head to the side and offering a small smile, "Are you getting tired of us already?" that was a joke, Ichigo.

Valiantly keeping those eyes on the waves thank you very much.

"Eh? No, nothing like that."

And he's not being very forthcoming either. A quick glance at Lior -- or rather the bright yellow ruffles that are now at eye level, and he blushes just a little bit. What? He was doing okay up until it was right in his face.

"Um...wanna sit? There's room."

What a noble and valiant knight.

She lifted a brow up at that, obviously not entirely convinced that it was nothing. One didn't walk away from a group for nothing and she knew it. Last she checked everyone was enjoying themselves so it was just a little confusing and disconcerting. However, she kept that smile on her face as she sat down beside him, not even noticing the glance and the embarrassed look about him.

"So why are you hiding away from everyone all of a sudden?"

"I'm not hiding, I just...wanted a minute."

Truth be told he had been sitting there slowly, but surely starting to squirm in place with guilt. Sure things turned out okay, but Lior had gone off, all on her own, without telling anyone for a reason. She had to have. There was no other explanation for it, especially if the rest of the guys hadn't been as worried as he was.
So as he sat, and ate the tasty grilled fish, Ichigo mulled it over in his head...and realized that Shiro had made Lior smile, and pet him, but Ichigo...he made her cry.

So when the slow dawning realization caught up to him, he just didn't think he could do the fake smiling thing. So he just got up, and walked a little away to think.

"...Did you have fun today?"

"Should I go then?" she really didn't want to, since it was clear that something was bothering him. Of course she wouldn't know what exactly, but if she had to fathom a guess she would think it was because of what happened the last time they spoke. The day of her arrival hadn't been the best, but like always she tried to be at least a little positive and just prayed that Ichigo and Shiro still gave a damn about her. Obviously they did if they were so worried today.

When the question was asked she blinked, perplexed for all of three seconds before giving a cheerful, "Yes!" because she genuinely had enjoyed herself, "It was nice seeing everyone at once and it's funny...Ace and I had just finished saying that the knights all needed to get together. I'm sorry I worried you though, that's not what I had meant to do at all." she did just need to get away from everything. To go off with someone that didn't seem to care that she was older and a little different, because she was still Lior and always would be.

"You don't have to stay if you don't want to..."

Ichigo, looks down at his folded hands, letting his too-long bangs cover his expression.

"But it would be nice if you did."

Honestly, with how guilty Ichigo is feeling, he's doing pretty well with this 'keep speaking' business. Usually he just shut up about everything, and pushed people away.
But Ace had been right about that. Ace had warned him a long time ago about hurting the people he cared about most doing that sort of thing...just took a while for Ichigo to see it.

"....It...the others were worried...but I called them. I called everybody because I was so worried you'd been sent back again. It's cool to see them, and all, but...it was me who scared everybody. Not you."

She chuckled quietly behind a hand at that, shaking her head a bit, "I don't mind staying. That's why I came over here in the first place."

Her smile faded when he admitted that he was the one that called the knights together. She wasn't quite sure how she felt about that, honestly. On the one hand it was kind of ridiculous to jump to that conclusion, but at the same time, wouldn't she have done the same thing if and of them just up and vanished? Probably. The thought hadn't even crossed her mind at the time though because she had just wanted to occupy herself with things that weren't so...depressing.

"Ichigo..." she sighed, leaning over a bit to wrap her arms around one of his, shifting so she could rest her head on his shoulder, "I should have told you I was going to be gone for a few days. Especially since I just got back, but I didn't really think anyone would notice -- or worry that much. I'll make sure to warn you the next time so you won't have to run around looking for me."

Trying to be subtle about it, he lets her rest her head on his shoulder, and...sets one of his hands over her glowing fingers.

"No, it's me. It's always been me. You left, and...I don't know. I guess it was like Shiro said; one minute you're here, the next I turn around, and it's like you're all grown up.
And all this time I've been acting like a selfish jackass -- it's true, so don't deny it."

Don't cut him off here, Lior. He's actually voicing some of this stuff as it occurs to him.

"So worried about whether you would have use for me I didn't even see that you had just been home for so long. You'd lost your close friend, and all sorts of other awful things

She didn't cut him off. She just stayed quiet and listened despite how much she wanted to object to pretty much everything he said. It's almost insulting that he would even think she would leave him, or anyone, behind.

"You're allowed to be selfish," everyone was. Ichigo seemed to act selfish quite a bit, but when it came down to it most of the time he was thinking about other people. Or at least that's what she saw.

She twisted her wrist to hold his hand properly, her head tilting so she could nuzzle her face against his shoulder, "I won't ever leave you behind, Ichigo. You or anyone else. You're all so dear to me, I told you. I was home for hundreds of years, fighting and traveling and everything else and I never once forgot any of you here and I wished that you could have been there fighting beside me. I'll always need you."

"It's not dumb."

"I never wanted to hurt you, Lioriley. And I did, didn't I? You were so confused, and upset, and needed someone and I...I just saw what I hadn't done.
I shouldn't have done that to you. I should have listened to Tavros, and just been happy you were okay."

He promised he wouldn't say 'sorry' anymore, though, so you're getting a lot more emotional depth than most people get Lior. The fact he is speaking of this openly is a miracle in of itself.

"It was dumb to worry so bad about something, then end up pushing you away all by myself. It was dumb, and I shouldn't have made you deal with my crap right after you got back.

You're too good a person, and mean to much to us for that kind of crappy behavior."

"It's okay. Really." She had been more worried about him and Shiro than herself anyway so that was nothing new, "I just... you seemed so upset because I was different and there really isn't much I can do about that," but it was somehow her fault and there was no point in telling her otherwise,

She's kind of surprised by this, but again, she doesn't dare mention it lest he clam up and stop talking, "I don't mind dealing with it. In the end I just want to make you and Shiro and everyone happy and so long as you're happy - even if you had decided you didn't want me to stick around - then so am I." it was a sad fact of her life that if they really didn't want her around she would leave so long as they were fine. Her own feelings mattered little.

"But I know you do and it should be obvious by now, but I forgive you, so long as you can forgive me."

Have one of those one-armed hugs, Lior. Yes, it still makes him uncomfortable, but slowly, a little at a time, Lior has worn down his barriers on physical touch. He didn't even blush that hard this time.

"You're smart, and fun, and one of the kindest people I know. I don't have to forgive you for anything, because you didn't do anything wrong.

Me though? Well...I'm glad you do forgive me."

She returns the hug with both arms around his middle, caring little for his stupid barriers and the fact that he may or may not be blushing again. It never stopped her before and it sure as hell wasn't going to stop her now.

"I worried you, both when I left and when I went out with Ace. I don't want to worry you anymore, Ichigo. So I'll do my best not to from now on."

She chuckled, leaning back to look him in the eyes, "I'll always forgive you."
