With Alex safe and recovering from his time in the Unnatural and Sean being awake and walking about in the city again, Charles finally pulled himself away from the mansion. He had to speak to Tony about that suit for Alex, and maybe one for Sean, but Alex was the priority given his mutation. There was also the talk about the Resistance that Charles wanted to discuss with him, but that even fell second to his fellow mutants - despite what everyone seemed to think. Charles knew he could simply message Tony over the network, but he wanted to keep things as quiet as possible, which meant visiting Tony's own place of solace.

Except, Charles decided to make a detour for the day. While he could go directly to Tony, he preferred to keep Tony's personal assistant, Pepper, in the loop as well. Pepper knew Tony, even better than he did, and she deserved to know what sort of crazy things the Professor could be asking Tony to do or even make. Pepper was the one who kept Tony grounded while he flung off the rail. Not to mention that Pepper would be a marvelous sounding board of ideas before he presented them to Tony.

With all of that in mind, the crippled Professor X took his time in reaching the offices where he figured Pepper would be. While he could simply read her mind, like many others in the city, she wasn't keen on him being inside her mind, and Charles respected that. Instead he used what he knew of the woman himself and based off Tony's memories in order to narrow down where she might be. If she was like him, Charles figured she would be working in order to keep herself from going insane.

He reached up and knocked on the door that her office was behind. He wasn't about to roll in and shock her. He did have some form of manners.
