vs Tim Drake

[Bowing to her opponent!]

[When Tim arrives, he's already scoping out the others there, hanging back by himself and just observing. He doesn't know who his first opponent is going to be so he's making mental notes on everyone. Some he recognizes from seeing on the network, others he doesn't.

He's wearing his bodysuit, slightly changed so it's all black, boots and gloves, as well as a black waist belt with various things in the pockets. He's left the cowl and cape behind, along with any recognizable Red Robin symbol. A domino mask he feels would be too obvious so his face is bare.

When called to fight, Tim keeps his eye on his opponent, taking in every little thing he can as fast as possible. Just because she's female doesn't mean she won't be a challenge. All he has to do is think of Cass, Barbara, and Stephanie, and know he's not going to underestimate her.

He bows respectfully in return.]

[Straightens up and takes her stance. Arms out, palms facing Tim, legs in enough that she can move quickly, but not moving yet.]

I am Li Mei. Before we begin, may I ask your name?

[detectivegenius]

You can call me Jackson. [Subtly implying that that isn't his real name but he's not going to give it out just yet.]

[rightdownrighta]

[...... and it is very clear that she completely believes it to be his real name.]

It is a pleasure to meet you, Jackson-san. Shall we begin?

[detectivegenius]

[... Oh boy. Well, that doesn't mean she can't fight. He nods and waits for her to make the first move.]

Let's do this.

[And as soon as that's said, she stops smiling and gets a much more serious expression, and begins to slowly circle Tim. Making no attacks yet, just walking a careful circle. If Tim's been paying attention to Batman's kung-fu lessons, he might be able to pick up what kind of martial art this is.]

[detectivegenius]

[He's on high alert, and moves with her, never allowing her to face his back and paying attention to every minute detail, watching, waiting.]

[She continues circling. She seems to also be waiting for him to make the first strike.]

[detectivegenius]

[He has an idea about what style she uses but he's going to make sure first, so he aims a simple kick, far enough away that it won't actually get to close to her just yet but enough to hopefully elicit a reaction.]

[rightdownrighta]

[The kick has her decide to start tightening the circle! So now she's getting in closer, but not attacking quite yet. Waiting for him to either get into her range, or to just bring him into her range from her circling herself.]

[detectivegenius]

[Alright then. He'll test things further by actually trying to connect a straight on punch now, aimed at a shoulder.]

[rightdownrighta]

[The punch is caught by a forearm, and that motion continues into a windmilling with her arm, as the other arm is windmilled forwards into a palm thrust aimed into the gut.]

[detectivegenius]

[Tim steps to the side to avoid it, as well as throwing an arm down to block. He spins to the same side as the arm she just used and attempts a sweeping kick aimed at her knees.]

[Her footwork is good, and she actually manages to jump the knee-kick. Landing will have her take a minute to recover, though, so she keeps her arms out defensively!]

[detectivegenius]

[Tries to get a hit in on her leg again when she's coming down, aiming to get outside the reach of her arms.]
