[Wearing his mask because everyone said it was a way to avoid trouble, Teddy's wandering the streets today as well. In some casual clothes and his human-looking form, he's been exploring this strange new place. With occasional glances at the map Tony gave him to keep from getting lost, he's just trying to get the lay of the land.

When a familiar face catches his eye, Teddy looks over and smiles.]

Hey, Alex.

[He offers a wave as he approaches, forgetting he talked to the other blond as his green self via PORTAL and would look different now.]

[Alex quickly looks the other man up and down, giving him a frown and an eyebrow raise.

Hands pull out of pockets, moving to cross over his chest. Does he look defensive?]

Do I know you?

[you don't look familiar, kid.]

[thenicehulk]

[Teddy slows his approach slightly when he notices Alex's defensive stance. Blinking a few times, he gives a little laugh.]

It's me. Teddy. We talked over that PORTAL thing.

[redhotsummers]

...Teddy?

[He frowns for a moment, then realizes exactly who it is.]

Huh. So you're like Raven.

[thenicehulk]

Yeah. The alien.

[He looks confused a moment.]

Raven? I'm sorry, I don't know who that is.

[redhotsummers]

[He snorts, rolling his eyes]

Oh forgive me.

Mystique.

[thenicehulk]

Mystique? [He definitely recognizes that name.] She's from the same time as you, right? Not the one from where I'm from?

[Teddy takes a breath.] Yes, we're both shapeshifters.

[redhotsummers]

Yeah.

[He shakes his head. Might both be shapeshifters, but sure as hell don't seem like someone who would leave your brother bleeding out on a beach.

But hey, he might be wrong.]

So is this your normal form, or the green-clawed one?

[thenicehulk]

[Teddy certainly couldn't leave his brother bleeding out on a beach because he's already dead. And Teddy never met him. There's also the fact that Teddy would probably bleed out himself before he let it happen to someone else.]

This one's me. The real me. Big and green is for fighting and superhero stuff.

[redhotsummers]

[Alex nods--he likes this better, actually. Not that he has any issue with Mystique's blue side...it just...it's a bit weird.]

Cool.

[So uh, hey, what's going on?

Not awkward at all, is it.]

Um--you settling in?

[thenicehulk]

I'm settling in okay I guess. Found Billy, he showed me around a little. Figured I'd get out and look around a bit for myself today.

How about you? You doing okay?

[redhotsummers]

That's good.

[Alex shrugged, kicking a stone that was near his foot, watching it skid across the street.]

I'm still here, aren't I?

[Meaning that no, not really. He isn't okay.]

[thenicehulk]

[Teddy watched the stone go as well. He frowned at the answer he got and looked down. After a moment, he glanced back up with a smile.]

Guess you are. Where were you headed?

[redhotsummers]

No where in particular.

[Alex smirks, shrugging again.]

Just trying to explore a bit.

[thenicehulk]

You too, huh?

[He smiles a bit wider.]

Mind if I come along. We can explore together for a bit.

[redhotsummers]

I'm um--not the best company.

[It's a warning. Teddy reminds him a bit of Sean--easy, unassuming. But even Sean has to struggle to deal with Alex at times.]

But if you want, sure.
