お盆 → O-Bon → Festival Of The Dead [OPEN]

Aug 13, 2011 01:45

Who: meitori, open
What: Yuuta honors his ancestors.
Where: By the docks
When: August 13th (he'll be doing more stuff through the 15th)
Warnings: none

Yuuta knelt by the docks of Promenade, a number of small paper boats with small candles lit on them. The current isn't taking them very far, and you can find a number of names written on them. Hand written, of course. This is the only part of the O-Bon festival he can perform, as there is no way he can go back home (yet) and tend to the family's graves, or even visit family.

He doubts anyone around here would know what bon odori is, and would appreciate him putting on very traditional music and dancing.

So he contents himself with this, and praying for his grandmother, and his grandfather's family. If you listen hard, you can hear him muttering old, old Japanese Buddhist prayers.

[I managed to catch this in time! Yuuta is celebrating the O-Bon festival, which is a pretty somber occasion for him, as a huge chunk of his mother's family died in the Nagasaki bombings. Only his grandfather (second of four children) survived because he was outside of the blast zone, unlike the rest of his family. So. Pick on him and ask him about his weird prayers.]

katakura kojuro: sengoku basara, *yuuta matsukawa: original character, hibari kyouya: katekyo hitman reborn!
