As a general rule, Ichigo didn't like doing these sorts of things. Sneaking around, looking over one's shoulder, and trying to be unassuming? Yeah, not really his forte. But, it wasn't the first time he'd have to forgo rushing headlong into a fight in favor of getting answers, and it most likely wouldn't be the last. After the message from that woman, 'Noah', hit the PORTAL network, most everyone in Promenade had at least talked a little with the other lady on that end. He never got a name, but that was alright. Better actually. If the PORTALS were safe, it was always better to err on the side of caution.
...Though, sneaking out of the clinic, at some ungodly hour, and racing across town to the border of the Forbidden Paths was probably not 'cautious' in the least. It seemed logical though, right? If the Unnatural was the stronghold of the King, and Queen, then this place was the only other area still accessible that was practically unknown. In the dark, moving silently, Ichigo slipped past the few watchful guards left hanging about after Soledate, and was soon blending with the trees - black robes against black night. He definitely felt a little silly just sort of wandering about, but back when the 'Resistance' ( man they needed a better name ) was still forming, this is where that book of names had come from, wasn't it? If nothing else, maybe there would be something of use here, even if the voice from before didn't show.
Even if it was just him walking around these paths in the dark, he almost didn't care. Being 'made example of' once had been bad enough. Watching someone else, nevermind he didn't personally know them, have to go through something similar was just too much to take without at least trying to find out more of what they would need to do to get everybody out of here.
