So maybe he and Asha hadn't hit it off all that great. She was kind enough to say he wasn't her brother and that he was crippled and he'd gotten to indignantly squawk that she should shut up. He was pissed, she was confused. It was a great way for the meeting to go after he'd been missing her incessantly for months.
And she was here now, and still no comfort.
It didn't mean he got to shirk his brotherly duties. That was his twin sister, he needed to make sure that she knew some people, knew who she should ask for help if she needed it, who could be relied on. His lady brigade was the obvious answer, but he'd kept the invitation open and vague, whoever wanted to drop in was fine.
He'd just hit anyone who flirted with his sister. End of story.
"Right, guys," he announces blandly to the assemblage. "This is my sister, Asha. I'm sure everyone'll be nice."
He gives a lazy salute before he goes to sit at the bar and get on with trying to cheer himself up. He's thinking beer would be a welcome respite, but that's probably because his maturity leaves something to be desired.
And if that jukebox plays anything in English, he's going to be incredibly disappointed in it.
