[He folded his arms over his chest as he waited. For all he was still angry about being stuck here, at least there seemed to be decent sorts around. People whom he might be able to trust, people who wanted to escape just as badly as he did.

He flashed a grin as he spotted the other man coming, and raised an arm in greeting.]

Oye!

[ Stopping at the edge of the roof, Ichigo waved once...then disappeared. Yeah, he blurred completely out of view ( technically moving too fast for untrained eyes to track ) then blurred into back into being about four feet in front of Jack. ]

Yo.

[ Checking his phone....YUP! Six minutes, 44 seconds. He shows the stopped timer to Jack. ]

Seven minutes, yeah!

[He stares.]

Good-- oye, what the hell was that?

[savior_n_black]

[ GRIN! ]

That is shunpo. That's what I was telling you about.

[ You might also notice the HUGE MEAT CLEAVER of a sword strapped to his back. ]

And you can teach me to do that?

[He's definitely eyeing that sword-- but first things first.]

Well, let's find out. Come on, let's get off the street.

[ The roof is better, and since it's faster-- ]

Don't hit me, okay? I'm getting us to the roof.

[ He'll just be grabbing Jack's arm, and looping it over his shoulder. Then with a completely dizzying blur of movement, wind, and color, they're suddenly up on the roof. ]

[He looks a bit nauseous as the stop, but after closing his eyes tightly for a few seconds, nods.]

Jesus.

You okay? Heh, takes a little getting used to, ne?

[ Shrugging, Ichigo pulls off the red bolo his sword is tied to, and leans the huge cutter against a friendly air conditioner unit. ]

You can take your mask off up here. No one can see us.

[He does, shoving it into his vest.]

Jesus . . . thanks, by the way. For offerin' the lesson and all this.

Don't thank me yet. First, we gotta see if you've got the reiatsu - er, spirit energy to be able to do it.

[ Stepping closer, he sighs. ]

Okay. Stand real still. I'm not gonna hurt you, but I need to check, and see.

[ And, not waiting, so Jack wouldn't have the chance to tense up, or shut off the instinctual spiritual pressure he emitted, Ichigo placed one hand, palm flat, against the other boy's chest.
Generally speaking, most shinigami would be able to 'feel' this sort of thing without touching, but Ichigo sucks at sensing reiatsu. So, he has to close his eyes, and search out Jack's spiritual signature through touch.

As he suspected. It was red.

Quickly pulling his hand back, but making certain to keep his hands where Jack could see them, Ichigo's grin remained, though. ]

...This might sound like a weird question, but; ever just had a feeling that something was about to happen? Or that someone you knew was close by, even if you couldn't see them?

[He tilts his head slightly, raising an eyebrow.]

Sometimes. Don't everybody?

You'd be surprised who doesn't.

[ Smiling, Ichigo jams his hands in his pockets. ]

Look, I'm not going to lie; this will not be easy. It's hard to learn it, and it's going to feel completely weird, but if you work at it, you can do it.

[ This? This is why he likes you, Jack. You remind Ichigo of himself. ]

Take me for instance. I'm a human being, just like you. But, through a very weird set of coincidences, and some accidents, I found a way to tap into my spirit power while I was still alive. Most humans aren't able to do it until after they die.

But! If a person has enough spiritual power, they can learn a few things while still alive. [ He drops his hands, and points at Jack. ] You've got the potential to become a shinigami once you die. But right now, that spiritual energy should be enough to learn how to use shunpo right now

[As Jack listens, the arrogant smile fades off his face. He listens intently-- because though this sounds insane, like some sort of stupid joke, he can't precisely ignore what Ichigo is doing in front of him.]

Yeah, okay. But--

[He shakes his head.]

What the hell do you mean, isolate on it? Not like I can feel it now. It's just-- it's sometimes there.

[ Thinking, Ichigo looks around. Then; ]

Alright. Close your eyes, and keep them closed. It's really important that you stand still, and keep them closed.
