He remembered the mask and the consequences spelled out so clearly (so starkly) for the residents of this - town before he even left. Taking the black half-mask into his hands, Giovanni turned it over once before settling it lightly over his eyes. He laughed, abruptly - there was no real reason to wear it (besides the rules, but oh, rules, who cared about those?) and yet -
- and yet he put it on, settling it almost delicately over the lower half of his face. Giovanni exited the rooms, walking smoothly, patiently, with metronome precision. Time for another meeting with his dear, beloved, brother.
