Warnings: He's a creep. Also if you're some supernatural being he probably knows it, and if you don't want him to just tell me. He skirts around subjects a lot anyway. Also you can switch to action brackets if so inclined.
The Medicine Seller awakens not in the bed he had fallen asleep in, nor in the city he had been traveling through, but he does not stay in said bed for long, taking only a few moments to head outside and explore. The city is strange, filled with masked people and the garden is full of flowers that he knows do not bloom in the particular region he had been in prior. His medicine box is beside him, intact and still with all its contents, and he himself is unscathed. A dream, he thinks to himself silently, musing as he pushes himself up to a stand. No, a dream like this would not feel so real, but he cannot be entirely sure. While he does not feel the presence of a mononoke at the moment, that does not mean there isn't one around.
Hoisting the large medicine box onto his back he begins to trudge through the gardens, carefully stepping over the flowers as he passes and heading into the main road toward the city. As he passes the plethora of quaint little houses he gives only brief glances to the people outside or around them. They seem to be willing to give him information, at least, though none of it is believable. Has he been to this place before? This dream like city? Maybe.
"An unexpected detour," he murmurs aloud, turning his head with a jingle of jewelry, "It seems I am..." there was a pause, long and seemingly pointless to anyone that may be watching the odd looking man whispering things to himself. His painted lips curve upward as he speaks the last bit finally, "lost" and the goes on his merry way down the road with a look of unsurpassed apathy.
