The sounds of screaming had jolted her awake from where she was resting, but already she could feel the night was more unusual than normal. It set her nerves on edge, made her worry, and that worry only grew as she stepped outside.
Mysari's skin crawled, her tail twitching and eyes alert. Though she lacked the finesse of battle she was taught at an early age, that didn't mean she was unprotected. A hand warily rose as if in defense, magic ready for use should she need it.
