Dracula, too, used to have nightmares. As a human he had seen so much death that no matter how much pride he had taken in calling himself heartless and without a conscience during those days, nightmares still had come. They had rarely been bad enough to rob him of his sleep, but that hadn't made them any less annoying.

Now that he was a vampire, he no longer had such problems. Instead, it was his schedule that kept him awake--he had returned to a diurnal itinerary out of necessity a long time ago, but he was still a night creature and every now and then his body simply refused to rest while the sun was down. After arriving in Promenade he decided that he might as well put those hours into good use by exploring the city further, tonight he was going back to the gardens.

It took him a moment to realize that he was not alone on his way there. When he got closer, he recognized the figure as the girl he had spoken with during the first night, and she looked distressed. He hesitated for second before approaching her, it wasn't his place to meddle into other people's business. However, he just couldn't leave like that, and he didn't have anything better to do anyway.

'Is something troubling you?'

For all their evils, the Morrisons were still human. They lived no longer than expected, had no physical prowess beyond expectation. All the power sat in dark hearts and dark veins, black eyes. Black eyes turn up towards the vampire now, she remembers him, knew a dead thing the first time she saw it and the voice inside of her mind is familiar too, heard from time to time on the portal frequencies.

There is nothing for her to convey to him at first, even the teneka is silent as she takes in the situation, but at last she decides,

'Hello, again.'
