A mixed bag

This past weekend really was awful, and, it was really nice too. On Friday, Kerry and I were traveling uptown and in the midst of discussing tacos or salad bar for lunch I ran a red light and plowed into another car. Fortunately no one was hurt and we were all insured. Still, it messes with your head and makes you nervous to drive anywhere. When we got home we found a disconnect notice in the mail from both our gas and electric providers. It was some mix up with our address but it required a couple hours to straighten out. Otherwise we would have been sitting in the dark eating a cold supper by today. What a horrible start to the weekend.

On Saturday morning, however, I went with my pastor and part of my band to the Larimer County Detention Center to lead a worship service. Everyday is the start of a bad weekend for some of these people. Reality check. Many things seem difficult right now at la dolcezzaville but our freedom is worth a lot.

My band was especially sweet on Sunday morning and the congregation sang their hearts out. We had lunch at the Mountain Cafe (highly recommended) afterwards and enjoyed the company of good friends. Later that evening Travis and I killed a few bad guys playing Bond on my GameCube and ate tasty pancakes for dinner served by the lovely lady of my house.

So there you have it. A snippet of life in Fort Fun.
