Hmmm.. So I haven't updated in awhile. I guess it might be time for one, eh?
So I'm finally 19. It feels weird. It's the first time that I actually felt older on my birthday. Kind of strange. On my sixteenth or eighteenth birthdays, it just felt like another day, even those were two "milestone" birthdays.
School is going alright.. I'm ready to get the hell out of Valparaiso. It was a stupid idea to stay here. I should have done something, even if I didn't go to school right away. I'm going to be in Bloomington by January hopefully. Valpo has just turned stifling, and I don't know how to get away from the situations that I'm currently involved in, other than just getting the hell out. I just feel lost here now, and I have nowhere to turn to. My rock was gone before school even started, but I've heard that one has drifted out to sea with little sight of shore left. I feel bad, but what could I have done?
The guy I was crushing on at the beginning of the school year is seeing someone now.. Good for him. He deserves a good girl finally, and it seems like he's found one. I hung out with him and another good friend since our friend and his girlfriend just broke up. They decided they needed to drink and burn things; I was the designated driver. As usual.. But this time, I got to drive stick! Woot.
ANYway.
I spent Thanksgiving at my uncle's house.. He's always a riot. For those of you who know my dad, imagine him more intelligent and funnier. Uncle Charlie's awesome. I get to take my grandma to the airport tomorrow morning-- that should be tons of fun.
Alright, so on my birthday, my mom and I went out to dinner and had a good time. Since then, I've had so much shit to do that I keep forgetting to call her. She called me tonight and left me a message about how she was disappointed in me and that if I'm not going to be around to see her, I might as well delete her from my phone book. I understand that she wants her little girl around, but I've just been so busy. Ideas, people?
