I have always hated being born in the 80s. Somehow or another, growing up in that era didn't seem that fun at all. Post-80s is an era marked by knowledge explosion and moral responsibilities, well, to me at least. I don't know why I think so, and I'm not saying that I wanna get high 24/7 in a pre-HIV, LSD-loving world though the political upheavals and activism (think berkeley) are huge turn-ons for me.
Well, unfortunately, HIV is here to stay and LSD is banned (someone's always making something new somewhere though) and berkeley is not quite what the center of political activism that it used to be and is probably more busy trying to get over its inferiority complex due to stanford (haha ok I made that up... NOT!)...
Maybe we all grew up too quickly. Way too quickly. Only to find ourselves in the 90s and post-millennium age where organic food and tax rebates and crazy gas prices are, well, the craze.
Yeah, I've decided. I wish I were born Jun 5th 1970, ideally in Clarksville, GA. So when this song comes out in the 80s, I would be an angsty awkward angry (that's quite some alliteration going on there!) fifteen-year-old.
Now that's HAWT.
