Merry Christmas Times From the Future!
If I wasn't looking at a calendar I wouldn't really know it was Christmas. Without a car this year, I go to stores less so interact with the decorations/objects less. Its actually raining really bad right now and I am just hoping it lets up by the time I go to work.
That's right, I also work today. And by work I mean sit at my desk and do nothing since the students' last day was Friday... I will be taking a half day off and tomorrow off. I am going down to Osaka today to have dinner with some of my friends there.
So funny story time;
Yesterday, Christmas Eve, was actually pretty good once I got off of work. On Wednesdays I have conversation class(?) with this stay at home mom and her 3 year old son. It is enjoyable and the boy is adorable. Sometimes she asks if I can stay for dinner. This week she called and asked what I wanted to eat awwww. So skipping all the back story, one of the best moments happened after dinner when we were eating our Christmas cake (some sort or apple pie thing...)After a conversation we were having, she turns to Kai, and asks, in English, "Who is your girlfriend?" and he answers almost right away "Renate!" Best. Moment. Then I told him we would have to wait 17 more years till he turned 20 ;) What? I could be a hot 40 year old ;)
Anyway time to get ready
