Encouraging young people to beliveing that they can accomplish great things is nessisary for the existence of Great Leaders and Achievers. Those who belive that this encouragement is missleading and harmfull typicaly, and mistakently, belive that opertunity comes only in the form of having the financial uperhand and sociatal rank to propell. This is untrue. To illuminate the need to motivate the youth to aspire this paper will show that history has proven that greatness can come from meager beginings, greatess; opertunity is not limmited to the rich and socialy connected; and greatness cannot, simply, be defined as money and power.
Giving hope to young people that through hard work and preserverance one can accieve greatness will motivate and inspire individuals to achieve. This hope and motivation is invaluable to individuals, families, and society. If one is told that they can benifit from their hard work, then it is more likly that they will work harder. History has proved that hard work can bring greatness more than once. A prime example of this is the story of Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln came from a impovershed farm life in rural Indiana. Limitted recorces prevented him from attending school so he took it upon himself to learn to read and write. Then, later in life, aspired to be an elected official and, eventually, ran for President of th U.S. and won. The cards may seem to have been stacked again him, but his story of hardwork and preerverance is a prime example to others of what they could possibly achieve. This example is not singular. And these stories do not pass through generations for no reasons. There is a wide held beliefe that these heros insipire others and are a reminder of what can come from those who aspire. The belife that greaness is obtainable through hard work and preserverance is not only nessisary to motivate others but also has been confirmed throughout history.
While there are explamples of greaness comeing from those of meager beginings realist may argue that the likley hood of greaness coming from indivudals in those situations is slim. While it is true that children are born into diverse sitautions there is no absollute reason to belive those who are born into money, or political possition will achieve greaness. There are two reason this must be questioned. It is arguable that coming from meager beingings lends one to greatness and greatness is more than just possition. One child may be from a family of modest means in Missippi or and another from old money in massachusets. Prima facia the child from Massachusets may seem to have the upper hand. They have the money to go to the Colleges they want, the will recieve the best public education the US has to offer, and they will have connections with innemerable professionals in variouse career paths, but monitary means, education, connection is not what greatness comes from. Greatness cames from those who aspire, those who work hard, and those who belive in their own potential. It is even arguable that people from a middle or lower class may have greater potential in the abilities than those who are simply handed opertunity. This is made possible by the reality that thesee individuals had to learn a work ethic to get to the top. These individuas may be more likley to acheive greatness becuase the preserverance and hard work has prepared them to perform. Their counterpart who has had opertunity served to them, may not perform as well. They simply havent developed the character to take something and make it better with limited resources. This relization also lends itself to acknowleging that Greatness is not simply having the best job or making the most money.
