For Prudence Manolov, it's about the art; it always has been. When she looks at her latest sweet creation standing magnificiently on the table, she has a sense that beauty will always trump bottom line in the artist's heart.

Her company, Glass Slipper Cakery, is small, with Manolov handling all the cooking and designing, but this mother of three has dreams of opening up a storefront in the future and exposing what some of her customers have called Oviedo's best-kept secret to the rest of us.

Here's someone who took a Wilton-type class and started her own business. While I wouldn't want to work with fondant all the time or have my own cake shop, I would like to sell some cakes as a side business.
Hay alguien que tomó un Wilton-tipo clase y comenzó su propio negocio. Mientras que no querría trabajar con la pasta de azúcar todo el tiempo o tener mi propio pastelería, quisiera vender algunas pasteles como negocio lateral.
(Rough translation which needs work. I'm trying something -- I need to learn/master Spanish for my work, so I will try to practice by posting things in English/Spanish here. If you want to help me, feel free to respond in English/Spanish as well.)
