nicely put. for me, the jury's still out on Antonio. I know I like him 10x more than Hahn, and 23894792734284792387x more than Riordan, but I'm not sure how much of what the says is real and how much of it is him posturing for a possible senate race. I want to believe in his LAUSD plans, but I'm afraid he's asking for too much. And then what happens when he leaves? what if the next mayor does not have as progressive a stance on education? Same with his stance on affordable housing --he's said a lot, but hasn't quite backed it up yet (to my knowledge). .... as for the other things...yes, definitely an exciting time to be in LA. ... i think we should call it "The Battle for LA" ... GO CLIPPZ!
I was surprised by his tough talk with the school district. But, the man wants to make his mark, and you have to build civilization from the ground up, I guess, starting with education, right?
I like that he encouraged protesters during the Day Without Immigrants to send their children to school...
