Since I work nights, I get to indulge in Greg DaPonte's Night Song program on KCRW. Sunday featured some gems, among them the two tracks posted above. There were also some new singles from Ryan Adams (Elizabeth, You Were Born to Play the Part) and Kate Bush (coffee_snorter also has some Clientele tracks posted on his latest blog -- I comb his posts religiously for new music).
L.A. may have reclaimed the smog throne, but its airwaves still shame those of any other U.S. city I know of.
