So im back home! the beach sucked. :( I can officially say I was in a Tropical Storm/Hurricane! lol. The "remnants" of hurricane Charley hit VA Beach and the surrounding areas yesterday. It was not fun! They said the worst parts would hit from 3-9pm, it didn't get bad till about 5pm or so. We went to the mall for a few hours and when we left our Hotel it wasn't doing anything. When we left the mall at about 6pm, you couldn't see more than an inch in front of you! and there was flooding everywhere. I took pics so when I can get them uploaded I'll post them on here. We were actually worried we wouldn't be able to make it back to the hotel because the water on the roads was atleast a few inches deep. But we made it and by the time we got back to the beach area, the worst had stopped and moved on. We were gonna pack up and stay in a hotel in Chesapeake (a city near the beach) but we didn't. There was a tornado that hit there so im very happy we decided against staying there! There were some houses near where you enter the beach area (there is a main street that runs by all the hotels, so when I say beach area, thats what I mean) and one hotel (this was not an ocean front one) that got flooded. Took pics of that too. lol.

We only had sun the first day, the other days it rained, including today. But the sun is out here so woohoo! But everyone down there at the beach is so rude! the people who ran our hotel were very rude. But oh well. Oh but the water was so warm after the storm hit. No we didn't swim in it, we just walked along the shore line. But there were people swimming in it..can we say crazy? those waves were pretty high, I don't think I'd have the guts to do that! lol
