As always, in bits and pieces

And incoherent bits at that.

I realised that I could never be at peace with my Tumblr still active, so letting it die. I have to get through the 27 days of not touching it to be rid of it forever, and so far so good. Same with Twitter. Considered closing down the Facebook too, but that's how I keep in touch with my family, most of which are quite far away, so that's a no-go. And what about this LJ? Well, all that'll help me get some writing done has to stay, so stay it must.

A few weeks ago I helped bake a Devil's Food Cake at my friend Kyle's house, and the baking bug has bitten hard. Kyle came over to our place in Laguna and taught me all about baking powders and tartars and food colouring, and we managed to create Maroonies (maroon-coloured brownies with cream cheese frosting). That frosting was INTENSE. Absatively fantastic, if I could eat it all day without fear of developing diabtes, I would. Now I'm saving up for my own handmixer, after I buy my mom a hot shower system for the bathroom, in preparation for the nippy Janaury mornings in this tropical anomaly. I really want to make a French Apple Pie, and then a Cherry Pie, and then, experiment with a Green Mango Pie XD

Physically, August has not been a good month. The onslaught of would-be storms and floods messed with my jogging routine, let alone with the lives and livelihoods of many Flips. Add that to the increasing pile of work and deadlines before this year's Y4iT event (which people should totally go to), it's enough to make someone hurl in stress (which I've almost done in numerous occasions). But I highly enjoy the work and the company and the vision, and I love the fact that I can introduce myself as a government agent XD

Which brings us to the next random tidbit: Jeremy Renner. I mean, my husband. I mean, my hero, who I've put on a pedestal and has absolutely no obligation to be perfect for his fans, he just is. And even if he wasn't anymore, he still is. See? No longer making sense. First it was at Ghost Protocol, and then it ballooned, simply ballooned in Bourne Legacy, which everyone I watched it with said sucked, but I've seen it twice and there was no point in the whole film that was even remotely bad. Everyone's allowed to have their opinion :D

Segue-ing to: Aamir Khan. I've only really seen two films so far: Taare Zameen Par and Three Idiots, and he was fantastic in both. I'm a little bit apprehensive about the Dhoom movie, but hey, I'll give Bollywood Jason Isaacs all the time he needs to impress me again.* u * His movies are always these idealistic bits of dancing and singing and freeing your mind and finding your own passions and intelligences. Which is all fine and feel-good for 2 and a half hours, but then you feel down after because you know the world is not built that way. But hey, that's the world.

Hunter x Hunter 2011 is going really fast, which I don't mind at all to be honest~ The Genei Ryodan Arc is in full swing, with the latest episode ending with Ubogin in Kurapika's chains :)) 'Twas always amusing to watch the smallish Kurapika have the hulking Ubogin at his mercy :)) The animation isn't as good as the original, but it's not as bad as the Greed Island arc and it seems maintainable XD Plus that final scene in the latest episode shows that they can still make top-notch illustrations, and will do so on the more intense moments XDI'm just looking forward to what they will do when they get to the Chimera Ant arc. I'm looking forward to when Togashi gets better and shows us what Kurapika's been up to that he has no time to visit his friends at such a critical point in their lives =| Maybe Leorio will get a punch in.

Hunter is the only anime I watch, but because of it I've really been on a doodling roll. Stuff's uploaded on an anon account somewhere for the sake of posterity, and I find it refreshing that I'm only drawing for me now~ It may not be good, but it's mine :) I've been playing with Promarkers (which most of my money gets spent on), and I haven't even begun to develop a technique, just mushing the colors around :)) One of my favorite subjects, aside from Kurapika and Jeremy Renner, is Illumi. Illumi will always be my favorite Hunter character * u *

Suits is over for the year. In some ways I feel thank-goodness-its-over-for-now because I cannot handle the weekly torture :) At least there's something fun to look forward to in the coming of Doctor Who. If I have time :))

Time. Time to read, time to think about things aside from work, time to learn how to play frisbee properly (yes, I know that's not the name of the sport), time to doodle, time to bake, time to play with my dog, time to travel, time to teach, time to spend with my family, time to get to know God, time to breathe and just appreciate life because of life. Because I'm blessed to be alive. In the past, I've been too wrapped up in fiction that I forgot to live in my own story, which made it difficult for me to write it.

And it shall be written. By the grace of God, I'll write it for the right reasons, in the right form.

Aaaaand we have our salad. :)
