Some thoughts on the HRC speech

What very strange phrasing, Mister President. Very strange indeed.
I wish he'd talked about others beyond Matthew Shepard. There are certainly more to be noted, and with this sort of publicity?
Hello, did he just say he was going to protect his education nominee? He could back that up.
I should watch the Sunday mornings. They should be interesting after this speech, and the other doings of this week.
Well, this is certainly a more full throated speech in support of the community then we have heard before. The cynic in me wonders how much of it is pandering. Of course ideas of that do need to be looked at with an eye to the subliminal nod we've seen from this administration, and first family. Still, there is just something viscerally wrong; the sticky sap of HRC all over it? The wanting audience feeding into the sense of idolatry of Obama? The ever so slight dissonance between Obama at the podium and the Obama of the campaign trail?
