(no subject)
So, it was bad enough that I had to miss Saturday's game because of my cousin's wedding in Las Vegas, but then we hear that there was an earthquake in Sunnydale! Dad wanted to rush right home to check on the house, but Mom just called the neighbors. They said it didn't look like we had any damage except to the guest house, and who cares about that? It's not like any of my stuff was in there. Besides, Mom and I were doing some serious shopping at Caesar's. Good thing you don't have to be 21 to shop in Las Vegas.
We got home this morning and the house was a mess! My stuff was all over the place in my bedroom, and the antique Lalique perfume bottles I collect? All over the floor! Thank God that Lalique guy knew how to make strong bottles back then, none of them were broken.
I thought maybe school would be cancelled, but no such luck. Mom called and it's not, so I guess the school didn't get damamged. I need to call Amber later, after school's out. I can't wait to hear how the alternate did in my place during the game. Probably not as good as I would've, but at least there was the earthquake to put the squad out of it's misery if she was really bad.
