'Opening' collapsed subthreads?

Sep 18, 2007 17:42

This question may not be 'basic' enough for this comm, I'm not sure. But I don't know where else to ask, either.

A few months ago, in one of the reply threads to a post the LJ Big Cheeses made regarding the whole suspension snafu, someone made an off-topic comment regarding a way to permanently 'open' collapsed subthreads. To hopefully clarify, what I want to do is always see the replies that are made to other people, as opposed to only replies that are made directly to the original post. It seemed like it was some kind of code, or other 'work-around'.

I'm on dial-up, and it's a pain in the rear to click to open a subthread, only to find that it consists of predictable one-word replies.

I would just look in the original thread, except A) I don't recall what it was/where it was located, and B) there were, like, 3000 replies. Needle, meet haystack.

Thanks for any help!
