I <3 Planet Rock. On the section Rick's Place, they read out jokes people have sent in. My favourite:

A gynaecologist decides that it is time for a career change. He enrols in car mechanic school, studies hard, and exam time arrives. Worried about his performance compared to his younger fellow students, he revises hard for the exam, and spends the full 4 hours allotted, whereas most of them use only 2 hours.
He tosses and turns at night, awaiting the results. The next day, he is delighted, but a little puzzled to find he has come top of the class, with 150%, so he goes to ask the professor how this was possible
"Well," says the professor, "I awarded you 50% for perfectly disassembling the engine."
"50% for perfectly re-assembling it."
"And a final 50% for doing all of this through the tailpipe."

In other news - today actually didn't go too badly, after the rubbish start (aforementioned alarm fail, and finding out my tutor meeting was actually today, not tomorrow). Managed to re-arrange things to have the meeting later in the day (got soaked by rain on the cycle back, but that is quite fun when *leaving* work :P), and tutor thinks I'm doing fine. I also asked about the various other deadlines, and he says he's snowed under with work, so hand-in dates are flexible, as he won't be marking anything for ages.
