Tonight I got to go see Labyrinth at the Redford Theatre! I've loved the movie for as long as I can remember but I was too young to go when it was first released so tonight was a huge treat! Labyrinth is the reason that I first fell in love with David Bowie, that movie was just a basic part of my childhood. I remember actually being afraid of the Chilly Down group I was so little when I first saw it.
When Tall Man and I got in the theatre a woman who worked there asked me if I had seen the movie before. I replied "like 100 times" as Brian said "well, she owns it". She informed me that they wanted audience participation for the scene in the bog of eternal stench (I don't know how to explain this if you've never seen the movie...) and gave me a whoopee cushion. I used it at the proper time along with half the theatre which made many people giggle. It was great fun. Then Brian decided that it would be funny to set it off during a sort of serious scene. When he did the girl behind us lost it and couldn't stop laughing. Good times! It was really fun to hear the audience applaud when David Bowie's name came up on the screen.
I also saw The Hangover this week. It was hysterical and I recommend it to anyone who likes that kind of goofy humor.
High: BOWIE!
Low: Wings... I hated those stupid reports who interviews Chris Osgood.
