Wow... where the hell have I been?

Okay. This is going to be kinda like a rant.

So, for the past year now, I've been hearing the pros and cons of Lucas putting Star Wars on DVD. He put in the new scenes. He won't release the originals on DVD. He changed the ending to Return of the Jedi. Well, I didn't pay it much attention. I was going to buy the set, but never had the money to do so. So then I was going to rent it, but could never find it at Blockbuster or Hollywood Video. Finally, I just gave it up. I saw Episode III the weekend it opened and I loved it immensely. I decided then that I had to find a way to find the DVD set and buy it for myself. Still never got around to doing so.

Friend of mine at work had the set on DVD and offered to let me borrow it. Saturday morning, I watched Star Wars and that night I watched Empire Strikes Back. I loved the new scense to be honest with you all. I think they're great and give more life and backstories in some perspectives. Anyway. Tonight I finally sat down and watched Return of the Jedi. I didn't notice too many new things until the last two scenes of the movie. First thing was the celebration chapter on the DVD. We get to see all the different worlds we were introduced to in the the newest trilogy all celebrating the fall of the Empire. I thought this was great! Then, the whole singing Ewok scene is out and a celebration scene is in with different music and more interaction with the characters. Loved it. But then, the biggest surprise of all! When Luke turns around, he sees Ben, Yoda and Anakin... only, this wasn't the Anakin from the original movie. It's Christian Haydenson! I LOVE IT!!! I think it really ties it all together. Amazing! That's all I can say. Absolutely amazing! So, in my opinion, kudos to Lucas for making the changes he'd made. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Now... onto other things.

I think Lee has finally made the decision to come out here for good next month. Still, I'm not holding my breath, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hopeful.

I haven't heard from Daemon now is several weeks. I hope he is all right.

Work is good for the most part. Chris and I still have our days, but for the most part, we're doing all right for now.

Nicholas' birthday is next Monday. He'll be five years old if you can believe that. Joanna will be thirteen in September. Wow. Where has the time gone?

Ben, I love what you've done with your page. Now, tell me how you changed the background because I really want to do that with my journal.

That's all for now. Night all.
