House started and looked up sharply as the lights in his office flickered once, twice, and then went dark once and for all. He glared at his blank computer screen which was no longer showing the case he had been writing up.

This is your first posted fic? Where have you been all of my H/W life? Excellent and original. I've read "elevator breaking fics" but never "hop down the stairwell" fics. Can't wait for more from you!

Outside of my published stuff, this is the first thing I've let anyone see. The rules for this genre are much more rigid than I'm used to so it was a little intimidating.

*gibbers* Here's a list of things I can't stop loving:

1. House keeping a mental count of the stairs. Sherlock did the same thing. I squeed with nerdy joy!

2. The LOOK at Wilson when he first comes in. Damn. I squeed with more joy.

3. The hopping down the stairs bit...even before the kissing and the hotness, was so hot! I also have never read that plot before. What a great idea.

(Tint typo: House’s gravely voice surprised even himself just slip another L in there for gravelly)

Definitely an original first time story. I eagerly await more. *mems*

I do the stairs thing too, all the time. I ALWAYS have to count them. Don't know why.

Heeeeey, you know what I was thinking? That this would make a great podfic at house_podfic. I would like to nominate it for some oral reporting if you know what I mean. I think the style would lend itself well to spoken word. What do you think? Would you be comfortable with that?
