(no subject)
so ive been feeling absolutly blessed lately. we talked about this a lot in Bible study at school today. Just about how lucky we are to live where we live, to have food every morning, to be allowed to pray and read the Bible whenever and whereever we want. to wake up each morning and have fresh clean water INSIDE the house, and to be able to take a shower. So many places in world dont have these luxeries. this just makes me think of two things:
1) why dont we trust in God more than we do. we say, "God, save me from this predicament, help me out of this situation, give me opportunity, but then we dont think he will because WE cant see the light at the end of the tunnel. and then, when he does help us, we are amazed, as if we didnt expect him to in the first place. GOD CREATED THE UNIVERSE! he gives you food, he gives you knowledge, friends, relationships, opportunities and experiences. seriouosly. he can take care of whatever you're goinig through.
2)Jesus said, "to those whom much is given, much is expected. to those whom much more is given, much more is expected." WEVE BEEN GIVEN SO MUCH. we must use that for the betterment of the kingdom!
wow. right now i feel especially blessed to have the friends that i do. To have people that are fun, that i get relate to, that get in my face and hold me accountable, that encourage me, and that love me. Wow. SO BLESSED. but i know because i have been blessed with that; i am expected to be a BLESSING to others by being the same kind of friend.
