With a new day is a new start. We left bright and early to the sumo stadium for the sumo tournament. We were afraid we wouldn't get tickets but there were tons of tickets and tons of seats. Apparently, the morning isn't that popular. The junior leagues are in the morning and the real competition starts near the end of the day. I was really excited about the tournament but the other didn't look excited so I felt like I dragged them to something they didn't want to see. They didn't seem that excited about it when I suggested it during trip planning either. I found out afterwards that they really did want to see it so it was my fault for making them miss it. *shrug* oh right, we haven't got to that part yet.
After watching for about 30 minutes, I suggested we go out and see other stuff then come back for the real tournament. They all agreed so we went to Akihabara, a district famous for electronics. We saw stuff but honestly, it all looked like the same stuff. And we weren't going to buy anything so the district seemed rather boring. We did find a really cool restaurant to eat at. You don't even get to sit in the place. Everyone eats standing up. It was pretty cool. I felt really bad eating there because there was so much food, I didn't finish like half the meal. I felt so bad. It was a bit early so some people wanted to go back to the hostel and drop off stuff. After that, we went back to the sumo stadium.
The afternoon matches were a bit more exciting. there were more people and more cheering. After a while, Josh decided to leave for Disneyland, and I joined him. We did miss the big presentation for the top league. Oh well...
Disney was a LOT of fun. I found out about these cool tickets that allow you to come back to the ride at a later time. those are cool. We went to the Winnie the Pooh ride 3 times! The ride is supposed to be random and each car takes a different path around the multiple rooms. But we got the same car every time so we got the same ride every time. hehehe. So weird. There was a light parade and that was really cool. We did a lot of running around the park, trying to beat the lineups and to get in as many rides as possible. I think we did pretty well. Oh, the biggest shocker of the night was I actually did well on the Buzz Lightyear ride. I managed to beat Josh! I suck at these games but I did pretty well. Whoo! It was fun being a kid again. It's always good to have someone who knows everything about the park and rides. It was a little creepy that Josh knew more or less what every ride was saying eventhough it was in Japanese... Even when they stopped the ride to let a disabled person on. That really freaked me out.
Ah... how I loved being a kid again. =)
