At the end of June, I found there were tons of ants walking around my bathroom like they owned the place. I was really freaked out. If you think I've been throwing out food in the bathroom garbage, you would be very wrong. And while my bathroom might be a tad dusty, I wouldn't call it dirty enough to warrant ants crawling around. Luckily, my townhome association was scheduling for ant exterminators to come by in the following days. Of course, I signed up for a treatment.
When the exterminators came to put bait around my home, I had to ask them why the ants would attack my bathroom of all places. It turns out that they are there for the water source. I thought it was extremely strange that they were making a beeline (antline?) for my shower. Now it all makes sense. Side note, if you have ants in your house, watch to see where they hide so that you can tell the exterminators.
Before the exterminators came, I kill any of the ants that I saw. By the time the exterminator came, I actually hadn't seen any ants the previous 24 hours. But thought I would get it done just in case. Now, a month later, I started seeing the ants again. And here I thought they learned their lesson. This time around, though, they started to die on their own. I guess the bait is working. Not sure how I feel about seeing an ant graveyard every day though....
