It took a crazy long time but it's finally finished!
For quite a few years while in Saskatoon, my friends and I had a tradition of doing Secret Santa for Christmas. When we lived in residence, it was really easy for us to "get together" and pick names out of a hat (mainly, it involved walking to each person's room with the hat). But when we all moved away and got busier, it was rather difficult to pick a time when we could all get together. So, I wanted to do it electronically.
I hacked something together back in 2010 and I had wanted to do something more formal since then. My friend and I considered making a Facebook app but never got around to it. I pitched it as an Android app to a local developers group but other projects were chosen instead. So, I tried to make it myself, but in HTML.
After 3 years of thinking about and wanting to make a Secret Santa tool, I finally finished it! I think it looks pretty cool and hopefully it'll work properly when the time comes (I did test it but we all know that live tests are different).
