Last week I took off the better part of the week to spend with my Husband. We were celebrating of 4 year wedding anniversary.
Thursday-
We lounged about for the better part of the day and then went to dinner at
The Whitney in Detroit, which is a 115 yr old historic home turned swanky restaurant.
our table setting.
I regret not getting more photos while we were there. But the Ghost Bar, where I wanted to stay for a few drinks was closed that night :(
After dinner we drove over to the Renaissance Center to have drinks on the 72nd floor at
Coach Insignia The view from the building was amazing and incredibly didn't make me ill(I have a height phobia). We sat on the side looking over the Detroit River and Windsor.
fun vintage photo which was inside the Ladies room.
When we came home we had a few glasses of wine and danced to Michael Jackson, Otis Redding, and a few others before slipping off the bed to watch a movie.
Friday-
We headed out in the afternoon to see Zombieland, which was hysterical and awesome. Afterwards we had dinner at Benihanas which was lovely all save for the fact that when I was entering the building I saw a dog in the cab of the truck. Now when you go to Benihanas it's a lenghtly dinner expereince. For example, our dinner was 1 1/2 hours total. It was probably about 40 degrees outside possibly less and this dog was not the large fluffy kind. I gave it's owners the benifit of the doubt for awhile, maybe they were getting take-out. But after a tip to the restroom I saw the truck was still there so I spoke to the manager and he assured me he would take care of it. Hew managed to find the owner and all she could say was "Thanks, I'll go start my car for him I have an automatic starter" Really lady?? you knew what you were doing in the first place, next time leave you dog in the comfort of your warm home. Next time I come across that I am calling the cops. That was ridiculous.
But besides all that I had a lovely dinner and after wards we headed out to
Greenfield Village for their Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village.
I wore my Halloween skirt I made last year for out trip to Florida and visit to Halloween nights at Universal studios. I figured it's vintage look would fit right in at Greenfield Village.
All of the costumes were very beautiful. I should have asked where they get them from but there were just so many people there!
Saturday we were supposed to go to Cedar Point but the temperature had dropped and it was going to be 30 degrees...seems a bit colfd to be riding roller coasters at that temperature so we decided against it and went to a bonfire and a birthday party instead.
Sunday was a relax chill kinda day while AOD recorded in the basement.
I had a fantastic week, I wish every week could be this fun-filled.....
(sorry for the giant pictures....I'm on the PC, it's wack and takes forever to post items)
