Oricon Style interview- translation :D

May 23, 2011 00:55

Harlo people~~~~

Again, I found the interview in Chinese.

The boys were talking about the new single WHITE, the hardwork of composing and producing the song.... and…their WHITE and BLACK sides

~~~~Douzo~~~~~
** is my personnel comment
**I found some part of the interview's question/ answer are pretty odd. Anyway, I am trying my best to do the translation based on the website**
--The new songs are great. A desire to get everyone watch the “fresh and soft” KAT-TUN--
Oricon : [WHITE] is matching with this fresh Spring season. What do you think when you first heard of this song?
Kame:  No matter you are listening or singing it, it cheers you up because it is a sweet song
Ueda: The tone is fresh, so you can see the fresh side of us.
Oricon: It is quite straight forward for chorus part, but I think it is still maintaining the KT style.
Kame: Yes, there is a difference between the song and the chorus part
Koki: Yes, even though it’s kind of fresh song, but it’s not our first time. We have tried this kind of the music in our past albums. So, as what everyone thinks, it’s not violated.
Maru: Yes. The only difference was we recorded the chorus for CM first. During the PV filming, we haven’t got the 2 versions of Chorus. So, basically it took some time to finish up this song.
Kame: Yes. I think it was end of last year when we first heard of this song, and the PV was filmed in February. During this period, there are so many things happened, so it took quite a long time to complete this song.
Oricon: So you guys did the recording twice?
Kame: Yes, different members were recording at different time. But I was recording the CM’s chorus first.
Maru: Yes, that’s right.
Kame: I was recording the whole first chorus
Maru: I remember I was recording it for 3 times. I was recording other songs and the chorus part first, and then finished recording for the first and second chorus.
Koki: Me too. I was planning not to record the 2nd part of chorus, but I was thinking the special meaning of this song, so I was adding it.
Maru: [White] and [Perfect] contains “please keep it up at new environment” this kind of meaning. So, we added [Yuki no Hana] into Regular Edition (First Press).  The support/encourage message is inserted into this single.
**I am translating Ganbatte to keep it up**
Kame : The single contains our very first decided part, and also some edited part. So it contains new meaning with it.
Koki: The song [WHITE] took about half year to finish it.
Junno: So, my hair style was different  when filming the PV (laugh)                         .
**He was referring the time from composing the songs until publishing the song is too long, so his hair style has been changed**
Oricon: It was still cold when filming the PV, wasn’t?
Ueda: Super cold.
**Yes, yes..I can understand because you were kept shaking your leg at the top of the building lol**
Koki: Yes, it was very cold. As it is meant for Spring, so we were wearing one shirt that time.
Junno: It was very cold neh!
Maru: So during break time, all of us were sitting next to the heater without moving at all.
--During PV filming, Kame was scolded by the student?-
Oricon:  Alright, we gonna talk about the PV making (laugh). Nostalgic style PV is very rare for KAT-TUN!
Koki: Yes. Since [Bokura no machi] hey!
Kame: Speaking about story line,  it is the first time that we filmed a complete story line in the PV
Junno: The PV captured the natural part of KAT-TUN
Oricon: There are a lot of ideas between you and the cameraman, so I guess you guys had numerous rehearsals before?
Koki: Yes, we did quite a lot of retakes.
Junno: But when it came to real filming, it took 3 times only. We were serious in the rehearsal.
Kame: I like the filming style very much. The main cast is changing along the music. Junno, are you in the PV too? ( Kame was joking)
Junno: Yes, I am!
Koki: Huh? I thought you went out?
Junno: Yes, I went out!
Oricon: How about the theme?
Kame: It is about going back to the school that we have graduated long time ago. Everyone of us is talking about our memories.
Oricon: It’s International school , isn’t? There are some foreign students
Kame: It’s German school. So there were some students during the filming. During the break time, the students came to the field and I was playing soccer with them. Just because I didn’t pass the ball to them, I was pissing them off. They were really angry (laugh). They must be complaining about me “ You should pass the ball to me, shouldn’t you??”
**Kame is a naughty boy~~~~**
Maru: German kids are really good in soccer.
Kame: When the bell rang, they came out from the classroom to the field. When the bell rang again, they went back to the classroom, without hesitation (laugh).
Maru: It is awesome!
Kame: It’s only left me and the soccer ball, I feel a little bit lonely (laugh).
Junno : Did it put into the PV making? ( He was referring the scene that Kame’s mentioned)
Ueda: I didn’t go out to the field though (laugh)!
Oricon: Speaking about the making, did your wish fulfill?
**I found it’s odd about this question T_T**
Maru: I think it’s perfect this time.
Junno: it was fun!
Maru:  Golden box was used this time
Koki:  So, it’s called Golden Box huh?
Maru: It was my first time to say so (laugh)
--The dance for [PERFECT] is Powerful. Do you rap?-
Oricon: What do you think about the dance part?
Kame: About this part, the coupling part of [Perfect] was planned early. It was showing as CM’s song too. So I think the content is rich and both songs [Perfect + White] can be released as single.
Maru: Kame, how about your Aoki 3D CM?
Kame: I was using Wire
Maru: Wire? I thought you were flying!
Junno: Yes, you were flying
Maru: I was thinking that “ Arh..Kame’s special talent is flying!” while watching the CM
Oricon: There is a part in the lyrics “回り道でも一番前” (Even if this is an endless road let’s keep on moving forward). I found it’s very KAT-TUN style.
Maru: Yes, indeed. For example, there are a lot of students hunting for the job, there are a lot of people are working hard. I think it will cheer you up when listening to this song.
**Totally agree with you, Maru~~~**
Kame: To me, it is more catchy compared to [White]. Lyrics in Katakana, so it’s easier to sing!
**I don’t think so, but I’ll practice for my next karaoke session!!**
Koko: The rap part of both songs are hard.
Junno: You didn’t sing, didn’t you?
Koki: Karaoke! Karaoke! (laugh)
Kame: I think we are having trouble. Usually we have to undertake our own part while performing the song. But if you are singing the song at karaoke alone, it will be confusing.
Junno: Like…Kame should sing this part?
Maru: I won’t sing for the rap part.
Oricton: Not to mention about the rap part, will you do mistake no matter how many time you have sung the song?
Kame: You will capture the tone and the dancing rhythm, your body wave will follow with the rhythm. But when it comes to recording, as it hasn’t came with dance part, you were singing the original chorus. So it’s different when you perform it live. It is amazing.
Junno: Let’s go to karaoke next time!
Koki: I can humming along while I’m driving
Maru: Me too! I sing while I am taking shower. From changing cloth till walk into the bathroom, even though I am using the hair dryer, I will be humming along. I am happy with this feeling. I listen to KAT-TUN songs sometimes.
Kame: Will you do the action for chorus and jump part?
Maru: No, I won’t be that obvious (laugh)
Oricon: So when listening to the new songs, you will normally listen to it while driving?
Kame: Maybe. But I won’t listen if I am at home.
Koki: I will listen to it sometimes at car or home.
Ueda: I will listen to it at home too.
Oricon: Let’s us talk about the dance part of [Perfect]. It is powerful!
Maru: Yes, it is powerful for most of the parts.
Junno: I was practicing the dance until it causes the blisters on feet .
Ueda: Really? (with numb reaction)
Maru: Me too!
Ueda: Really? (laugh)
Junno: How many hours had we practicing huh?
Kame: It was the longest practicing time. We normally took about 1 hour in the past, from remembering the dance steps till coordination. But for [Perfect], it took about 2 days for us to gather together. It was about 4-5 hours each day. For music station preparation, we took 2 hours for practicing and confirm.
Maru: We also confirm the standing position.
Kame: Yes, so does the formation.
Maru: Even though we had numerous LIVE experiences, but compared to releasing the new track, the performance is more important. If we are co-ordinating nicely, it will run smoothly for performances in future.  For [Perfect], we really did a lot of preparation before the first release/performance.
Junno:  My muscles are pain!
**Junno, I didn’t realize that you are that week? Lol**
Oricon : We haven’t spoken about [Yuki no Hana] and [Silence]. What about them?
Kame: We were thinking to cheer up everyone through [Yuko no Hana]. We added a lot of messages that we want to deliver, so if possible, I hope more people will listen to the song!
**That’s the reason it’s out of print of that edition at CD Japan, Kame!! We bought that edition! XD**
Maru: It’s quiet, it’s like humming at your ear.
Kame:  It is ballad  with great influence of encouragement. So it’s KAT-TUN style music. We added the message that we want to deliver at R&B part.
Oricon: Can we listen it from the chorus part?
Maru. Yes
Kame: The lyric has been changed many times. Every one of us spoken out different idea, that’s how the song done!
Junno: This song is suitable as last song for Live, as it contains the message that we want to talk to our fans
**Is that an indication for the last song of the concert this year??? 0.0 **
Ueda: The lyric was meant for love only at the first, but we think it’s kinda useless if it is only for love.
Kame: Yes. With the current Japan’s situation, we have added a lot of messages.
Oricon : How about [Silence]?
Kame: it’s ROCK style. After finishing [White], [Perfect] and [Yuki no Hana], we decided to put this tradition KAT-TUN style song to balance up.
Ueda: The title of the song does not match with the style! (laugh)
Kame:  No matter it’s for balancing up or delivering the message, I think this song has a special meaning too.
--WHITE or BLACK?-
Oricon: The new song is called [White]. Can you please tell us your White side and Black side?
Ueda: For White side of me, I believe people easily. No matter what the member said, even though it’s a lie. In the past, they were mentioning that by using the fruit juice with added vitamin C for face washing, it is good for beauty. I did that! (laugh). For the Black side, I am quite calculative sometimes! (laugh)
**Tatchan,you are naïve~~~~**
Kame: For White side, I don’t think I have it~ (laugh). Just because I like Black. Most of my belongings are black. I always teasing people/ giving people hard time. From primary school, I always tease the girl that I like. Now, I have a desire on teasing Nakamaru and Taguchi! (laugh)
**Kame, We love to see that~~~ Do more ~~~**
Junno: The white side of me…is I don’t know how to define the black and white. As serious answer, I don’t have black side (laugh)
** Yabari…Junno is KY neh~~~*
Koki: I don’t have White side. I was being complained as “ You are really bad” sometimes. I can’t remember how I look when I am bad, so maybe I’m Black after all! (laugh)
Maru: The white side of me is…I started to do house work more. I am doing like laundry, dish washing and rubbish almost every day. For the black side, the fitness products that I have bought few years ago have became my shirt rack (laugh). Even so, it is useful for putting up my clothes (laugh)
** Awww...I love the boys more  every time finished reading their interviews~~~**
**And...We want the concert dates!!!!!**
