It's the name of his male dog. (^^) Koki talked about him in several other manuals. The dog was owned by a friend of his who was abusing it, and Koki had to reeeeally do a lot of work in order for the dog to trust him. =\

But now, Kaminari loooves Koki, and is very, very happy. ^_^

Wasn't the name Rai? The translation I read about the dog said the name was Rai (or ray, rei.)

arh~~ maybe you are right~
the kanji is 雷, which is Thunder so I did the direct translation :p

Like l3in8 said...the kanji can be read as either "Rai" or "Kaminari" (I'm not sure which reading is correct -- I'm not sure if ANYBODY knows, now that I think about it -- but yeah...I'd assume the dog's name is "Rai" instead).

Either way, Koki was definitely referring to his dog. :)
