(no subject)
so it's almost 200 in the am and i'm still fully awake. welly maybe not fully awake, but awake enough to be type type typing awake in my LG. wHoO!
so pretty much, the weather has been crappy, especially today, the beginning part, at least. i woke up at around 900am to get ready for church. i looked outside the window to see how the weather was looking so i could figure out what i was going to wear. it was super gloomy outside, but i knew that it was still hott. gloomy days during summertime=major humidity. i stepped out of my house at around 1005am and my oh my was it ridiculously hott! i couldnt take it. i jumped into my car, turned on the AC and headed to church.
church today was quite interesting. we had a guest speaker that talked 100mph and to top it off, he had a super thick filipino accent and said the words machew chapcher chircheen like 3 times. let meeh translate that for you. machew chapcher chircheen=mathew chapter thirteen. i know it's super rude to laugh a lot at church, but ooh my...danielle and i couldnt stop. it got so bad that her and i had to duck down into our seats so people wouldnt see our shaking shoulders from all the laughter.
anyway...once church let out, there was thunder and stuff. i fuhreaaaked out. i hate thunder! theeennn it started to pour...and i mean poooour! super huge drops of rain was coming from the sky. a lot of people were juss chillin in the church tryna figure out what to do. gosh i hate rain. i was in open toed heals too. aaaand it was still super duper hootttt. ah stupid weather!
once it stopped raining, danielle and i went over to jack in the crack to meet up with the others, only to discover that we werent that hungry to begin with and decided that starbucks sounded pretty damn good. so...thats what we did. ahh...i havent had my starbucks fix since...thursday. it felt good. i seriously very easily become addicted to caffeine. i spend so much money on it. it costs $3.90 for a venti upside-down iced caramel machiato with non fat milk, easy ice, and hazelnut instead of vanilla. and the sad thing about it is that...they never spell my name right. honestly now, tell me how hard it is to spell R A C H E L. starbucks people like to make it more complicated and add an extra letter in there somewhere. R A C H A E L or R A C H E A L. either or...is that not more difficult than the plain and simple RACHEL? i will never understand....
at 200pm we had leadership training for camp. to be honest, at first...i wasnt really looking forward to this whole church camp thing. it's been so long since i've done something like this. but i think after today, i'm more comfortable with the whole situation the whole camp thing. one thing i really need to work on...i need to stop being so shy. argh! i hate it...i gotta get over that mess.
i've also been worrying about my schedule. i really really hope i get the classes that i want. i'm only taking three classes. bio 172, chem 120A [hopefully], and history 110B. for suuure i'll know people in all three of those classes, which is a definite plus. buuut... i neeeed a funnn class! an easy A class...a GPA booster, if you will. last semester, dance 101 and english 101 was my easy A GPA booster. this semester, i have nooone of that! i was thinking about taking some kind of physical activity. beginning volleybal? beginning tennis? fencing? haha...i dont know. just something to help meeh out a lil bit...with both my education aaaand body, cuz Lord knows i havent gotten any kind of physical activity in... a long time.
so i think i'm at that point now where i can go to sleep, hopefully. i think imma sleep in the living room. waaay too hott in the bedroom. toodles
