*"Pink-skinned"... there'd been an awful lot of them lately, hadn't there? Would the arrival of one more really be unfathomable?*

If it's any consolation, your original form will be returned to you before long.

I would appreciate getting my abilities back honestly. I am not useless just because of this body, but getting around in my current situation is a hindrance.

Really? I've found the human bodies to be eminently suitable for this place, myself. Or is there some other difficulty at hand?

I suppose being stubborn and rude by refusing to talk about it will not help me, but I can not see. I once had a different way to get around through modes of smell and taste, but I have neither at my disposal. I am assuming that it is not the body, but because I have been completely stripped of those abilities.

And they have removed my pyralsprite from me.

*Oh. Oh. The smell-and-taste bit is fairly telling, but "pyralspite"...*

If I may offer a seemingly random hypothesis - and I apologize in advance if this is wildly off the mark - are you usually an Alternian troll? Perhaps in possession of turquoise or teal blood?

Merely conjecture, I assure you.

By all means. Your hypothesis is rather accurate. I am that of teal blood and I am from Alternia.

Color me curious though. How did you come to those questions? I am sure that I have given enough to guess of my origins, but not of the color of my blood.

If I may answer your catechism with one of my own: How strongly do you ascribe to the theory of descendance and ancestry amongst our kind?

I suppose that depends. It is not something I rarely think about as I have other things on the mind, but if you were to give me good, hard evidence. I could very well believe it.

I believe it is possible at the very least.

Prior to my experiences here, I thought of it as an intriguing theory with perhaps some measure of veracity to it, but what I have seen and those I have met in this place have led me to believe in it beyond any doubt.

One of my companions in an actually-rather-staggering host of ordeals was a tealblood in possession of a fervent verve for justice and the rule of law, as well as a strikingly unique sense of synaesthesia that enables her to smell and taste what others merely see - adequately compensating for her blindness.

Also, she has many plush dragons and I'm rather certain one of them is called Pyralspite. Perhaps she's given the appellation to more of them, actually; it's difficult to tell them all apart.

It sounds like your companion is familiar with my work during my duty as a legislacerator.

It would not be coincidental for one to own a plush and call it Pyralsprite. I am assuming that this plush comes in white? I am curious to know more about your friend though. It is rare to find one who is passionate for Justice and Law, and I am more then happy to meet those who appreciate it.

It's certainly within the realm of possibility that she could have learned about you somehow. And yes, her Pyralspite does come in white as I have seen.

If you would like to meet her, she is here in the town so I don't doubt it will occur before long. Her name is Terezi Pyrope.

I will be sure to find her though. [The irony of when Terezi comes back and Redglare is her mom. Oh man.]

How many sweeps old are you? You all sound so very young. Much after my time.

Your guess is correct on both counts. I am only six sweeps of age, and from the little I know we were hatched many centuries after your existence.

I suppose I am a little curious as to how things have changed since my time. I will not be able to really see it grow based on what I know of my future.

...the primary change is that Alternia no longer exists as a habitable world, I suppose.

Is there any particular reason as to why?
