List seven songs you are into right now, no matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.
I'll listen to them, so I can try to accurately describe why they're at the top of my list.
1.
Phantom Pain, by D. Strong drums, keen guitars, and that growly raw throaty (sometimes yellingy) thing that Asagi does. murr.
2.
Izon no Niwa, by SID. Sultry seductive sex. Nough said. The echoey filter, the bass line, the twisted anguished yearning sound in the refrain. It makes me want to be passionatley kissing someone.
3.
D.L.N., by the GazettE. Ruki's voice rips at me in this song. The many layers of sound. The bass/drum solo is love. And the fact that they mention sheep, and I used to "collect" songs about sheep. It racks that there's that link running through the songs of my life. This one is on my "sleepy" playlist that I listen to falling asleep each night.
4.
Sakura maichiru ano oka de (kaeri version) by Kagrra,. This is my calm-and-center song at work. It's such a simple melody. And the refrain gets stuck in my head, but not in a bad way. I find myself humming it all the time. And Isshi's voice is particulary nice in this one.
5.
Armor Ring, by Alice Nine. The sound of this song is pretty cheesy. Especiallly Shou's voice at the beginning. I almost cringe at it, but then quickly relax into the rolling groove of it. And then catch myself singing it. Plus I'm eternally amused by the fact that I keep calling it "Armor King" which is the name of the lamest contestant in Tekken.
And it's got the whole "lalala, nananana" thing going. Fluff fluff fluff, but it's great for putting a smile on my face as I drive to work.
6.
Seppun, by L'arc~en~Ciel. At the beginning, this song feels a little badass. But then it gets kind of normal. Listening to it now, I realize it's like two totally different songs. Regardless, I *love* lipsynching to Hyde. I go into full rockstar mode.
7.
Reila, by the GazettE. I really like the drums at the beginning and end, and again with Ruki's voice. This is one that I wasn't so into at first, but now is enjoying a period of increased popluarity. Listening to it now, I'm not really sure why it's here, because it's really not Gazette's best IMO, but it is.
And there you have it!
I probably don't have seven people to tag. I will do
parsley409,
letters_in_sand (since she was just talking about lyrics), and
0_noaartemis_0. I'd be curious about the lists for
timly and
saloma_lape, but I'm not going to call them out. Do if you want to. And Iris already listed enigma. So there's 6. That's close. :P
