So it snowed bad here on Tuesday. When it snowed, Uma started acting funny but we figured it was just the weather change. She went to class on Wednesday night and seemed good, she was jumping up and learning shake. She didn't want to walk out of the store though and I had to carry her inside. She started throwing up that night but, dogs throw up, we didn't have any clue. Thursday morning we woke up to a crate full of vomit and diarrhea. We put her in the kitchen and she refused to eat or drink. She was vomiting every 15-30 minutes so we took her to the vet. We tested her for parasites and nothing came up but we decided to just give her antibiotics and antinausea medication. We got some pedialyte in her and she was holding it down. I was waking up every few hours to give her pedialyte and things starting looking up around 2 in the AM. Ryan woke up at around 4:30. The kitchen was covered in vomit and diarrhea. We rushed her to the vet. They took her from us and almost immediately her heart stopped. They tried to get it to restart but Uma had given up. They tested her for parvo and they got a weak positive. She may have even still had it in her system from a vaccine. I cannot express how I feel. This is like losing a child. I don't have enough pictures. I didn't have enough time. She will be missed.
Rest in Peace Baby Girl, you will always always be loved.
