So its been a while
But, here's whats up.
Basically, including Mika, Ryan and I ended up with 4 dogs. Two more chihuahuas and a pit bull. So that makes Mika, Otto, Layni and Uma the pit. This morning Uma started throwing up about every 15 minutes. She had diarrhea too and was super dehydrated so I took her to the vet and we put her on antibiotics and anti-nausea medication. She is getting pedialyte every two to three hours but has lost about 5 pounds in the last 24 hours. Her gums are WHITE but have gained somesomesome color in the last few hours. She stopped throwing up but I'm terrified she won't make it through the night. She won't eat or drink.
This is coming at the worst time seeing as how within the last week my boss lost her dog and a friend of ours and Ryan's ex [who live together] also just lost their 8 year old dauchshund, Summer, who I lived with for a little bit [Nick's dog] and their 1< min pin [Shannon's dog]. The neighbor's dog jumped the fence and killed them. The neighbor found the body and hid them, I guess he felt guilty and threw them back over the fence for Nick and Shannon to find.
So, keep baby Uma [who just turned four months old] in your prayers and thoughts or whatever you do because she needs it.
