A universal question: "are we alone?" cannot_dream November 10 2004, 23:24:03 UTC
IT'S a question that has no basis as a question at all. It asks, "are 'we' alone?" To be alone, however, one is subject to separation from all others. The word 'we' constitutes a plural, meaning that one to pose this question is in fact not alone, and is therefore accompanied. Of course, this question is often posed against the possibility of other life forms in the universe, but it also applies here. I know how you feel. I do not know the details that led to your position, or as you referred to it, point in your life, but I am entirely aware of the complexities within. If you want "somebody" to simply talk to, I'm freely available. You shouldn't feel so down, either. I understand that things must be pretty bad for you to feel this way (and I know you don't want to hear that you "shouldn't feel so down") but you have many things going for you and it sounds like you're taking action to move on. And about jealousy, it is the most powerful emotion other than love. It is something uncontrollable and definitely universal in its existence; those who say they aren't jealous simply haven't gotten themselves into a position to feel jealous (which is part of life, of course) or are insecure to the extent that they deny it; it is these people who probably suffer the most from it... Anyway, I'm sorry things aren't how they should be, but be optimistic; things can only get better from here. If you ever want to talk, I'm here and will not be able to relay anything you say to anyone else of importance (if that is at all a plus). Try to be happy =)
